With the closing of many (MANY!) websites devoted to our favorite genre, much of slack has been taken up by many fine folks who have started their own Yahoo Clubs. However, with the adult nature of the sites, Yahoo has made finding these pages very difficult, if not impossible. Also, many of these groups you DO have to be an adult in order to join, so make sure that you put your age in your Yahoo profile.
So, here is a list of those clubs that I am aware of. I do NOT belong to all of them, as there are a few here that are inactive, spam laden, and/or loaded with stuff that is found elsewhere. Some are larger then others, some smaller. Some are inactive, and some are just starting out and haven't gotten much in them... yet.
Lately I have really been getting to the point of feeling that these groups are an overall detriment to the superheroine in distress community as a whole. Too little originality is found within, and too little maintenance is performed by the sites owners/maintainers to keep spam to a minimum. I see too much raiding of other sites for material and some post pay site material which I do NOT endorse in any way, shape or form. Then, there is the actual usage of the groups sites, which most do not know how to use because of the aspects that Yahoo stuck into the programing (for example the "photo albums" cut down file size to less then 1/3 and reduces resolution, while putting such jpeg into the "file sections" does not detract from the files original size or quality).
