Terror of the Soulless One

Chapter 8

The Hidden

by Skytower

The volcanic rock was hot and harsh on Diana's bare feet. She had been climbing for hours, working her way up the steep side of the volcano by toe and finger holds sometimes hanging from only her fingertips. Diana didn't dare take the easier paths and ledges, she was far too vulnerable to being captured or spotted. That Diana was completely naked didn't bother her much, though that fact delighted the many insects that bit and stung her as she climbed. Diana ignored all but the most persistent of them. The only parts of her body she really wished covering for were her feet and hands. Thanks to nearly two weeks of walking barefoot through the jungle the souls of Diana's feet were tough, but still a sharp rock is a sharp rock. More than once Diana barely escaped slicing her foot open. Her arms and legs bore many scrapes that stung and burned.

She had started to climb when the sun was high in the sky. Now it was getting dark and the rock was becoming one large grey and black slate before her eyes. Her body was covered in dust and dirt that was pasted to her skin with sweat and blood. Her muscles ached. As much as she knew it would be safer to stop and wait for the moon to rise (assuming the moon would rise, Diana didn't know if it would or not), the knowledge of the hideous evil Miss Syn would loose upon the world fueled the heroines determination. Diana didn't want to stop, but handholds were becoming harder and harder to find. What drove her on as well as the fear of what Miss Syn might be doing was shame. Deep within Diana there was a slight amount of shame that it had taken her so long to recover from her enforced adolescence. She was Wonder Woman after all; she shouldn't have been taken so easily in the first place. But Miss Syn had tricked her into taking off her golden belt of strength and after that...

Frustration and shame, however wrong her intellect knew those emotions to be, however foolish her wisdom told her she was being, kept her going.

So Diana kept climbing despite the failing light. Despite the scrapes on her breasts and body from the rocks as she hugged the side of the volcano and sought more secure footing. For the next few hours she trusted her sense of touch more than any other sense. She learned that a rock had a "feel" to it. A particular smoothness that marked the rock as part of the volcano, not just a stone laying half buried in volcanic ash or dirt. It was not an exact science and the price of a mistake was harsh. Diana lost count of the times the stone in her hand came loose and tumbled past her down the side of the volcano. Or suddenly fell away under her foot while she was straining toward a new handhold. Many times she nearly followed it. But grimly the amazon pressed on.

There was no moon that night. Clouds covered the sky and soon the amazon was facing light drizzle. She slipped and would have fallen if a desperate hand had not found a sharp rock and seized it. Diana cried out as her shoulder muscles were nearly pulled apart. She hung there for a few minutes, blindly feeling the rock face for hand or foot holds. She found them and let her heart slow down.

A light from above sped her heart up again. Diana wondered if one of the monkey-men was out with a torch and would find her, helpless and naked. Diana was relieved when her eyes focused on a fairy hovering above her. The fairy glowed, her aura magnified rather than dispelled by the light rain. The glow was still dim, but Diana's eyes had grown accustomed to complete darkness. In the glow she saw the hand and foot holds that the darkness had hidden from her.

It was hours later when Wonder Woman pulled herself onto a ledge and rested. Her body was soaked her hair plastered to her head and her muscles felt as if Diana had taken over for Atlas. The rain had stopped and left behind a fine mist. The fairy hovered over her head, as it had all through the climb. Aside from the fairy Diana could see only vague shapes around her. The cool damp breeze of the island chilled her body and the amazon shivered. For a few minutes she hyperventilated with relief that the long climb was over. After that Diana lay still trying to bring her body under control. Her ears brought the sounds of the night creatures and the distant sounds of the waves against the rocks far bellow her. Though she tried to fight it Diana fell asleep.

Diana woke up to find herself walking through a tunnel. Her mind full of confusion the amazon tried to stop or speak but could not. All that was left to her was the movement of her eyes. Frantically they darted about in their sockets, seeking some reason for her forced mobility. The only answer they found was the glow of the fairy reflected against the walls.

Even if she couldn't control her body Diana could still feel it. The air was warm and dry. The floor beneath her feet smooth and cool, like marble. The only sound in the tunnel was her breathing. She came to the end of the tunnel and started down a long spiral staircase. The spiral was a tight one, barely 4 feet across. Here the stairs were covered with moss so thick it felt like carpeting. The moss was damp and with each step it gave off an earthy scent.

Diana had calmed down as the trip had gone on. The fairy was controlling her and so far the fairies on the island had proven either benign or benevolent. She could only hope that whatever this one was doing with her body it would not hurt her.

The bottom of the stairway opened up into a domed chamber. Diana emerged from the edge, stepping through a doorway draped thickly with cobwebs. The webs were cold and clung to her skin. Where they touched felt like someone was laying raw ice onto her body. The webs did not stop her. Stepping into the chamber Diana walked toward its center. The place was lit from the lights of hundreds of fairies. They clung to the walls or ceilings or flew slowly about in the air. Between them sprouting from branches that grew out of the stone were golden apples. In the center of the chamber was a circle of hanging vines. From the vines sprouted red and yellow flowers. The two red leaves of the flowers were small and semi-triangular in shape. They grew from the base and cupped the two larger yellow leaves. The yellow leaves were oval-shaped open cups with edges that curled. In the center of the plant were long yellow pistils, only a shade or two lighter than the leaves. The plant started to stir as Diana walked toward it.

At once all the fairies took flight and their wings stirred up a kaleidoscope of colors and scents. They were making noises, but Diana could not tell if it were a language, a song or just the noise of animals.

She walked into the center of the circle of vines and the vines took hold of her. They wrapped between her legs, around her stomach and breasts, wove themselves into her long black hair. They curled around her neck and over her face until a person standing two feet away would not have seen the amazon. The vines were warm and felt smooth against her skin.

Suddenly Diana found herself in control of her body. She tried to move but the vines held her fast. She tried to speak but as she opened her mouth one of the flowers covered it. A warm, tart fluid started to fill her mouth. Diana tried to bite down but the leaves had moved to far into her mouth and would not let it close. She could feel the pistils moving around in her mouth, reaching further and further into it. They stopped and then the fluid slid down her throat. She didn't have to swallow; something in it seemed to paralyze her the muscles in her throat. Another flower covered her nose and Diana could feel twin stalks moving into her nostrils. For a moment she couldn't breath and fear made the amazon tremble. Then it was over and somehow air was making its way into her lungs. But it was air tinged with scent that Diana could not recognize. It smelt a bit like warm molasses, but only a bit.

Two of the flowers pressed themselves against her breasts, covering Diana's large brown aureoles. She felt a moment of sharp pain as something was forced into her breast. Then her breasts became warm, then hot, then heavy. She could feel them expand and as the flowers started to suck them Diana's breasts gave milk.

Between her legs the vines forced open her vagina, but did not enter her. Squirming and moaning in the creeping plant's grip Diana wondered why. Then two fairies drifted into her line of sight. One fairy smoldered with a red glow while the other shone with a bright yellow sheen. They danced about each other in a mathematically bizarre yet very precise flight. It was a mating flight and despite her bondage, or perhaps because of it, Diana became aroused simply from watching it.

The flight was long and it was short, Diana never knew which. All that she would remember was that at a certain point the fairies came together in mid air, climaxed and then drifted beyond the point where she could see. Diana felt them enter her womb. They went in together, pushing and shoving at her labia and clitoris, driving the captive woman nearly insane with erotic stimulus. Then they were in and she could feel them within her, still moving. Her stomach started to expand and Diana moaned with a mixture of pain, pleasure and frustration.

Strangely enough time, which had meant nothing while the fairies danced before her, was now all too real for Diana. She felt each moment as it came upon her, stayed, and then moved on. Her stomach expanded to three times its normal size, her breast became nearly as large as her head. Through it all Diana could feel what was going on inside of her body. The fairies were moving within her, but she had only a vague suspicion of what they were doing. It went on and on as the helpless amazon could do nothing but endure both the pleasure and the pain.

Diana didn't black out. There was no release of oblivion for her. But at last, hours and hours later, the first fairy emerged from between her legs. It held onto her clitoris for a time, letting its wings dry and then took flight. The fairy flew right up in front of Diana's face and flew around in a gay dance of celebration. Had Diana's jaw not been bound it would have dropped. The fairy was a small copy of her. Soon other fairy-Diana's were flying around her. Flying and laughing in patterns that made it impossible to count how many there were. She tried anyway. Diana's best guess was that there were as many as 80 fairies flying around her body when the parents at last emerged from her womb. The vines retreated, allowing the lips of her pussy to close at last. Diana felt her stomach deflate like a balloon and wondered if she was at last going to be released. She had long ago ceased to stand on her own the vines had held her up. Now they pulled away from her breasts and Diana felt those heavy glands fall against her body. Scarcely had the vines released her breasts when the fairy-Diana's were on them. They crowded onto Diana's chest and bit the soft and tender flesh. Diana screamed even through the vine that covered her mouth, even through the liquid that was still flowing down her throat. If someone had taken a thousand needles and plunged those sharp instruments into her chest the amazon was sure it would not have hurt as much. Again Diana was acutely aware of time. Again hours went by before it was over.

Then the fairies left her, moving as one through the chamber and out the way she had come. The vines at last released her and Diana collapsed to the floor. She lay there in pain; panting, her exhaustion and despair defeating her will and spirit. Somehow she found the strength to crawl away from the vines.

Diana's body was a wreck. Her breasts were three times as large as they had been, but they were flat and flabby. Her stomach hung about her body in folds of flesh. Diana cried and through her tears did not see the fairies return. A drop of water on her face brought Diana alert again. The drop was followed by another drop, and another and yet another. An endless line of fairy-Diana's flew above her, each cupping a small drop of water in her hand. Soon Diana was in the midst of a small rainfall. Euphoria embraced her and Diana laughed out loud as the water seemed to wipe away all of the pain she had experienced. Soon she stood and danced as the fairies had danced, her body restored to what it had been. She danced and laughed and hooted for joy until at last she blacked out.

There was no hangover when Diana woke up. Her body ached and her stomach felt empty and twisted. Her breasts were so sensitive it hurt her to sit up and her pussy was still slightly swollen. The chamber was the same as it had been, the vines were still in the center of the room, but now they were in full bloom and the beauty of them was sickening to the amazon princess. Diana had been raped and she hadn't enjoyed it regardless of the reason. It was the latest in a long line of torments and Diana cursed herself for that moment when she had taken off her belt and entered Miss Syn's bath.

"I should have just used my lasso on her." Diana whispered harshly to herself as she stood up. "Why did I think I could play her game? Mother always told me not to play games with evil."

Diana stood up and looked at the chamber again. The fairies were gone. A soft blue light now came from two open doorways set opposite the stairwell from which she had entered. Diana started to approach the one on the left. She moved cautiously, but a fairy flew up in front of her face, laughed and flew a few feet away.

The fairy was a doll-sized Diana and the sight of it enraged the amazon. With a roar that was a shriek of resentment and aggravation Diana charged after the fairy. It was one thing for someone to rape her, it was another for some creature to steal her body and make a tiny copy of it and then use it to taunt her. The fairy laughed and darted out of her way. For the next few minutes her miniature doppelganger led Diana on a merry chase and finally through the doorway on the right. Diana charged in and tripped, falling flat on her face. She lay there for a moment, the pain in her breasts shocking away her anger. Pushing herself onto her knees Diana saw the fairy sitting just out of reach. The fairy was laughing at her.

"Suffering Sapho I hope I don't look that silly when I laugh." Diana said. She sighed and the last of her anger drained out of her. She stood up. "Well little... little Me I guess, you brought me in here for a reason. Why?"

The fairy stood up and then flew onto the long metal tube that Diana hadn't noticed. Diana looked around. The room she was in was built to last. Thick supports lined the walls and ceiling. The shape of the room itself was that of an egg, the perfect shape to withstand pressure. The floor was thick hard rubber. The walls were dimly glowing with blue light but were plain metal. In the center of the room was the tube the fairy was standing on. Under it was a smaller tube with a pipe leading to a simple wheel valve and then to the larger tube. The fairy flew down to the valve and pantomimed turning it.

"After what you just put me through?" Diana asked. "I don't feel very much like trusting you."

The fairy gave her an irritated look and then stomped her foot.

I can't look like that when I am mad, Diana thought. I just can't.

The fairy pointed to the wheel again and then flew past Diana and out of the room. Diana walked over to the tube and examined it. It was metal, ten feet tall and 3 feet around. There were no obvious seams or markings, no hint of what was inside. She tapped it and the metal gave off a ringing tone.

A sudden fluttering caught Diana's attention and she whirled around to see the doorway filled with fairies. They stood on each other's shoulders and linked arms and legs. Almost all of them were smaller versions of herself and they all had stern looks on their faces.

Diana sighed. She could force her way past them. But despite her rape Diana did not believe the fairies to be evil. Diana hoped she didn't anyway. They were like small kittens or mischievous puppies. Diana shook her head, they had raped her, and she should hate them. But her instincts were telling her to trust them.

"What is it that Steve always says?" Diana asked as she bent down and started to turn the wheel. "In for a penny, in for a pound?"

The wheel turned easily and after a few minutes the tube started to dissolve. Diana stood back as the metal fell away like a melting ice cube. The mist that came from it smelled like fresh rainwater. Inside was revealed a table with a nude woman on it. Olive skin and hair darker than Diana's completed a medium sized young woman. She had wide hips and large breasts with tan aureoles and a stripe of black hair between her legs. Her face was like her body, round and soft looking. After a minute of breathing she opened her dark brown eyes and looked around.

"Thank you Diana." she said sitting up. "I wasn't sure that you'd trust the fairies again."

"Who are you?" Diana asked. "How do you know who I am?"

"I am Maria Stieber." The woman said standing up. "I believe you know my brother."

"You are Helmut's sister?" Diana asked.

"Yes." Maria stretched and shook her self. "Ah, so good to move again."

"How do you know who I am?"

"The fairies." Maria said. "When I awoke five years ago I found that the release mechanism had broken over the ages. I was able to use my training to reach out and create a mental link with them. For months now I've been trying to reach my brother, but that idiot kept killing the fairies. It was only yesterday that the fairy I was linked with spotted you while you were climbing the volcano."

"You were awake five years ago?"

"Come with me and I will explain." Maria said.

She walked out of the room and Diana followed her. In the other room Maria went over to the branches that grew from the walls and picked one of the apples. She bit into it with relish.

"Thousands of years... I was hoping the apples would still be here." she sighed for a moment and then sagged to the floor. After a moment Diana took one of the apples and joined her. "You know that I fell into some sort of portal. That portal was to the distant past, eons ago. There I encountered an archeologist dream. I met the race that built this place. They called themselves Hi-Riskia-Shi-ah."

"What happened to them?" Diana asked. The apple tasted wonderful. It had a strong sweet taste that was tinged with an orange flavor at the edge. Diana hadn't realized she was hungry until the first morsel reached her stomach.

"They happened to them." Maria said reaching for another apple. "The Riskia had built a paradise, somewhat more advanced than your Paradise Island. Each Riskian was a law unto themselves, they did not have war or want, just curiosity and knowledge. But they were reckless with their knowledge. They created new races of animals and insects for pleasure, sport, labor or even decoration. The fairies are a race that was bred purely as erotic pets."

"They went too far." Diana said reaching for another apple. The apples were moist enough not to make her thirsty.

"Very much so." Maria said. "They bred huge creatures for sport and quickly lost control of them. The Riskia's also played with their own bodies, giving themselves mental and physical powers. I was fortunate that they gave some increased mental powers to me, otherwise I could not have linked with the fairies."

"You've been reading my mind." Diana said her face turning red with anger.

"No." Maria said quickly. "I brought you down here to free me yes, the fairy was controlling your body and I was controlling the fairy, but my control over the fairy was not strong enough to defeat the fairy's mating instincts. I tried, I truly did, but being linked my mind was swamped by the sheer eroticism of the mating flight. Before I lost contact I lost control of the barriers and your mind, through the fairies, simply flooded into mine. Only a little of it. That is what the fairies were bred to do, to increase intimacy between partners during sex."

"How much do you know about me?" Diana demanded.

"I only got your last few weeks of memory." Maria said. "I would not have done it if I had any choice, please believe me."

Diana took a deep breath and looked at the woman. Among her people confession and contrition were done ritually. Though Maria didn't realize she had followed that ritual. She had come to Diana nude and in complete honesty. If Diana forgave her they would share a meal.

But was Maria being honest? How much had she seen in Diana's mind? How honest was the woman? For a few moments Diana wrestled with herself. Once she would have accepted Maria's apology without question. Maria was a woman, a sister. The amazon code ran strongly in the princess of Paradise Island. But that was before months of living in man's world had taught Diana how corrupt women could become, and more importantly how dangerous it could be to trust them. The temptation to believe the worst of Maria was strong.

I will not let cynicism rule me, Diana thought sternly. She reached over and picked another apple. Aloud she said; "I do believe you Maria."

She offered her the apple and the look on the woman's face told Diana that she had been right to trust her.

The ritual done Maria went on.

"The Riskian's didn't realize what was going on, they were blind to what was being done. Also they were so arrogant that they believed that any problem they created they could solve. When I learned their language and realized where and when I was I told them the future. Not many believed me. Those that did joined with me in creating the sleeping tubes."

"So you planned to wake in this century?" Diana said.

"I hoped to." Maria said. "The only basis for time I had was my sketchy knowledge of the constellations. The hibernation has two phases. The first is a long sleep for the mind as well as the body. At a certain point the mind wakes up, but the body stays asleep until the second gas is introduced. The plan was for my mind to awaken, determine if the time was right, and then trigger the release for my tube. But the release machine was broke, I couldn't use it."

"So you tried to get Helmut's help." Diana said.

"Yes, but that brother of mine never listens to me. He never did."

"He might now." Diana said.

"I know." Maria said. She laughed. "At the very least he is young enough for me to spank."

"Yes." Diana agreed laughing. She stood up. "We still must deal with Miss Syn and the monkey-men."

"We can do that." Maria said standing up. She led Diana into the chamber on the left. "100 Riskian's joined me in slumber, they..."

She stopped short and her voice trailed away. Diana stopped behind her and looked over the woman's shoulder. The chamber was larger that Maria's had been and just as well built. Tubes lined the walls, but they were all half buried in volcanic rock. In the center of the chamber were the remains of a number of smaller tubes. Coiled in their center was a large two-headed snake. Four eyes looked into Diana's two and she felt a heavy fog start to descend upon her mind. Diana knew it was hypnosis, fought it desperately, clawing with every ounce of will power she possessed. Still she felt a warm malevolent darkness open up and swallow her.

She might have tried to scream. But Diana would never know if she managed it or not.

...to be continued.
