Issue 22 – The Old Switcheroo

“Bring in the girl!”  The hooded figure commanded.  Two robed cultists carried in the drugged girl by the arms.  She was a bit overweight with pimples on her face.  Her hair was the dishwater blond of a bad dye job.  She was dressed only in her bra and panties.  With some effort they flipped her over and pulled her onto the stone alter.

“Oh Dark Lord, accept this sacrifice!”

“Accept it Dark Lord!”  The robed cultists chanted in return.  The voices were all female and young.

“Protect our complexions!”

“Protect them Dark Lord!”

“Spare us from fat!”

“Keep us thin Dark Lord!”

“May our hair grow long and golden!”

“Blond hair Dark Lord!”

The leader reached into her red robed and took out a butcher knife.  Someone had crudely painted a pentagram on it with nail polish.

“I think this has gone far enough.”

“Huh?  Who said that?”

One of the cultists pulled back her hood and smiled.  She was a brunette wearing a mask.  Diamond earrings sparkled.  “I think this little schoolyard coven has gone far enough.”  She flicked a wrist and a taser dart dropped the leader.  The girl fell to the ground twitching and writhing.  The Minx kicked high and knocked out the girl next to her, she karate-chopped another girl and put her down.  The rest of cultists were screaming by then, running for the exits but the Minx had already locked the basement door.  Dazzle gems and gas bombs took care of the rest of them.

This was the third cheerleader cult she had busted in the last few months.  It seemed they’d gone from recruiting inbred hillbillies to needy, vain and spoiled girls.  Promises of clear skin, bigger boobs and flat bellies ensured a regular supply of new recruits.

The Minx pulled off the hoods and checked each one.  Plenty of skinny blondes but no one she recognized.  No sign of the original four ‘Satan’s Cheerleaders’ or her missing friend Miss Angel.  She sighed.  She didn’t expect anything else but it was still a disappointment.

From inside her coat she took out her miniaturized transistor radio phone and called police.

Satans Cheerleader

“Come on Johnny, you’re a man, you can do it.”

“Yeah, yeah Cindi, I’m gonna do it!”

“Come on Larry, you’re not gonna let that asshole win are you?  Show me you’re a real man.”

“Yeah Patti, no way I’m gonna let him win.  You hear me Johnny?  It’s on!”

The two boys got into their cars and drove off in opposite directions.  When they were two blocks away they turned around and faced each other.  They were on a deserted street on the west side.  With most of the warehouses out of business there was no traffic to get in their way.

Cindi and Patti cheered for their boys.  They waved their scarves and jumped up and down.

Johnny and Larry hit the accelerators and roared towards each other.

The game was simple.  ‘Chicken’.  The first one to turn aside loses.

Johnny thought of Cindi’s delightful smile, of her luscious lips, her bouncy breasts and hit the gas.  No way he was going to chicken out in front of her!

Larry thought about Patti’s long blond hair, long tan legs and the kiss she’d given him with the promise of more to come.  No way he’d let her down.  He slammed his foot down and looked straight ahead into Johnny’s eyes.

Johnny narrowed his eyes, he was sure Larry would break.

Larry could see the grill of Johnny’s mustang coming up real fast.  But he knew Johnny would turn first.

Johnny had to admit, Larry had guts, but he’d turn.  He had to.

Larry started to sweat.

Johnny’s heart was pounding.

Larry gripped the steering wheel and thought of Patti.

Johnny closed his eyes and thought of Cindi.

The two cars were doing over 80 MPH when they hit each other head on and exploded.

Patti and Cindi laughed and laughed.

“Oh poor little boys, did your pride do you in?  Or was it your lust?  I guess the Dark Lord will have to figure that one out.”

It was just another day in Megapolis for Satan’s Cheerleaders.

Stella arched her back and flew over the great city.  The Minx was off doing her own thing and the girl of the stars just had to fly over the city a few times showing everyone that she was still out there.

She spotted that bitch Princess Patriot flying by and snarled.  That wanna-be heroine was always showing off even though she didn’t have any real powers!  Stella couldn’t understand why anyone liked her.

But at least things looked quiet.  She’d just fly around one more time and then be home in time for General Hospital.

But the sound of an explosion got her attention; she flew towards the west side.

***

“Excuse me Ms. Minx!  Ms. Minx!  Do you have a minute to comment for Action News?”

The Minx looked at the reporter running towards her.  She was young and eager.  The Curvy Crusader usually had no time for the press but something about this one…  Something familiar but she just couldn’t put her finger on it.  She nodded.

“Thank you!  Oh thank you so much!  Deborah Faust, Action News!”

“I don’t think I’ve seen you before Ms. Faust.”

“No, you haven’t I’m brand new.  And let me tell you it is an honor to meet you.  I saw you speak at the NOW convention last year and you really inspired me to go out and get a job as a reporter.”

“Well I’m proud that my message got through, but I’m afraid I have to get going.”  She climbed on her motorcycle.

“Just a few questions Ms. Minx, please!”  The Minx looked into the girl’s eyes and hesitated again.  What could it hurt?

“OK.”

***

Stella had put out the fire and helped the ambulance crews recover the bodies.  Between the collision and the explosion there wasn’t much left of the drivers.  She wondered what could have made them do something like that?  Didn’t they see each other?  She shook her head.  Sometimes people just seemed so stupid.

“Excuse me Stella!  Oh Stella!  Over here!”

The girl of the stars turned and saw a well-dressed young woman waving a microphone at her.  She shrugged and walked over.

“Kristina Scratch, Action News!”

***

The Minx was starting to feel a bit strange and disoriented.  She wanted to end the interview and return to the Minx Pad but somehow she couldn’t get the words out.  Instead she found herself saying whatever came to mind.

“It must be great to work with Stella!”

“Um yes, it is.  Most of the time it’s really great.”

“Only most of the time?”

“Well we do have our ups and downs.”

“It must be hard sometimes.  Stella has all that power but never really uses it.”

“Yes…  I guess you could say that.”

“You could even say she’s wasting her potential can’t you?”

“Yes… in some ways she is wasting her potential.”

***

Stella was so happy.  She felt a strong connection to Kristina, like she could say anything to her.

“And the Minx is always so bossy and such a know-it-all.  She never tells me anything and if I ask she acts like I’m a little baby and should know all this stuff!”

“It must be hard; I bet she doesn’t understand you at all.”

“I’ll say!  She doesn’t know how hard it is to be me!  She has it easy!  She’s just a normal woman.  I’m the one with all this pressure!”

“It must be hard; she can never really understand you can she?  I bet you wish she had to walk in your shoes for a while.”

***

The Minx was feeling more and more irritated.  But there was something about this woman that she just couldn’t say no.  Finally she burst out “Do you want to know what it’s like working with Stella?  Let me tell you!  She’s a spoiled child who was given the power to change the world but doesn’t have the brains to use it right!  If I had that kind of power…”

She caught herself.  How could she say something like that?  To a reporter no less!  Sure she thought it from time to time, when she was frustrated but she never really meant it.  Did she?

“I…”

“It must be hard; Stella’s never had to live without her vast powers.  I bet you wish she had to live your life for a while.”

***

“Yeah!”  Said Stella.

“Yeah!”  Said the Minx.

“I wish she could be me.”

***

“AH!”  Stella screamed, knocking over several people with the force of her stellar breath.  She staggered a few steps clutching her hands over her ears and squeezing her eyes shut.  Each step shook the street and rattled windows.  The crowd moved away from the girl of the stars, suddenly very scared.

“Muh-make it STOP!”  She yelled shattering windows up and down the block.  People started to run.

“G-gotta get out of here!”  Stella cried and – eyes still shut – ran down the street.  She tore through a parked car and jumped into the sky.  She flew for a block or two before hitting a building and cracking the side.  She veered and finally shot off north breaking the sound barrier and shattering a few more windows.

***

“Huh?”  The Minx blinked and shook her head.  “Wait a second where-“  She looked around, everything was different.  She was in some kind of school parking lot and sitting on a motorcycle.

“But how?  Where?”  She awkwardly got off the bike.  It fell over but she ignored it.  She looked around confused and then trotted forward, jumped into the air… and fell flat on her face.

“OW!”  She yelled.  Some cops came over.

“Ms. Minx?  Are you OK?”

“Minx?  Huh?  Where?  I’m-“

The Minx caught her reflection in the cop’s helmet and froze.

“No… way…”

Princess Patriot 3

The red, white and blue-clad brunette flew over the Schwartz National Park until she saw it; a cave and a clearing of trees recently leveled outside.  She landed gracefully and entered.

“Hello?  Stella?  Are you there?  Are you OK?”

“WHAT?  WHO?”  Stella yelled, almost deafening her visitor.

“Stella it’s me, Princess Patriot.  I um, I saw you take off.  Could you lower your voice a bit?”

“Sorry, it’s just… it’s been a strange day.  I, uh, I’m not myself.”  She laughed a few times.  Princess Patriot could hear the hysteria in her laughter.

A bit of lightning sparked from Princess Patriot’s staff, illuminating the cave.  Stella was there but her cape was wrapped around her head like a turban, even her eyes were covered.  The indestructible cloth helped block some of the innumerable sounds and sights her stellar senses were picking up.

“Stella?  Is that you?  What’s wrong?”

“Heh… you pretty much answered your own question.  I’m not Stella.  That’s what’s wrong.”

***

“No, officer, nothing’s wrong, in fact everything is just fine…”

“Glad to hear it Ms. Minx, for a minute there you looked like-“

“No, no, I’m fine, totally fine.”

One of the officers righted her motorcycle.  “Nice bike, I guess you’ll be taking off then.  ‘Crime never rests’ like you always say.”

“Um, yeah, but um, I won’t take my bike.  I think I’ll just um…”  She looked at the bracelets on her wrists and then at the roof tops.  She had no idea how that worked.  “I’ll patrol on foot for a bit.  You know, look for um… clues.  See you later guys.”

She walked off trying to look casual.  The cops were left scratching their heads.

“Funny I always heard Stella was the bimbo and the Minx was a bitch.”

“Guess they’re rubbing off on each other huh?”

The Minx made it a few more blocks before she ducked into an alleyway and hyperventilated.  “Stars and comets!  What am I going to do now?!”

***

It was nightfall before the finest heroines in the world made it home to the underground Minx Pad.

“What?  How?  When?  Now what!” The two heroines let out simultaneously when they saw each other.

“I think you’d both better sit down and take it from the top.”  Princess Patriot advised.  The three champions retreated into the Minx’s secure box.  The shielded room blocked stellar senses and let Stella feel somewhat normal.

“…so I didn’t know how to ride a motorcycle or use your wrist things so finally I stole some clothes, wrapped your coat and mask up in a shopping bag and hailed a cab home.”  The Minx finished.

“You know I have some street clothes in a hidden pocket.”

“Oh.  No, I didn’t know.”

“Well you’re doing better than I did.  I couldn’t see right, I couldn’t hear right, if Princess Patriot hadn’t found me I’d still be hiding in that cave.”

“But how did this happen?”

“You both said you were being interviewed by a reporter when the switch happened.  Do you remember anything else?  What were you talking about?  Who were you talking to?”

“I remember” Stella said.  “Her name was Deborah Faust; she was asking about um… what it was like to work with Stella.”

The Minx nodded.  “Weird, I was talking to Kristina something or another, she was asking about you Minx.”

Stella snapped her fingers!  “What a second!  Deborah?  Kristina?  Also known as Debbi and Kristi!  No wonder she looked familiar!  They were Satan’s Cheerleaders!”

“What?  Stars and comets!  You think they did this to us?”

“Exactly!  They must have used some sort of black magic to stop me from recognizing them.  Look Lynn, do you remember exactly what you said?  Exactly?”

“Um, no.”

“I do, she was asking how I felt about you and I said ‘I wish she could be me.’  Did you say anything like that?”

“Um, yeah.  Sort of.  Maybe I said that.”

“So that’s how they did it.  Just like when they stole your powers.  They tricked us into making a wish and then granted it.”

“Sweet Liberty!  Now what can you do?”

“We have to break the spell somehow.”  Stella said calmly.  “I researched magic during the Satan Girl case, there had to be some physical manifestation of the spell, a talisman, a scroll, something.  Once we find it and destroy it the spell will be broken.”

“But that means finding those satanic cheerleaders, and we’ve already been looking for them for months.”  The Minx said, her voice rising in fear.

“I know, I know but I think now they’ll have a hard time staying away, after all they want to see the affects of their handiwork.  They’ll turn up; we just have to keep our eyes open.”

The Minx giggled at that one.  Stella still had her cape wrapped around her head.

“In a matter of speaking of course.”  She added.

The Minx put her hand on Stella’s head.  “Does it feel any better yet?  I mean it didn’t take this long for me to get used to stellar senses.”

“True but your powers developed gradually after Stellar Man gave them to you.  I have the full deal all at once.  But I’m sure I can adjust, given time.  In fact, let me start now.”  Stella calmly unwrapped her head; she winced and shut her eyes but managed to slowly open them.  “My God… Lynn is this what it’s always like?”

“What?”

“I can see… everything.  I can focus my eyes on the electrons dancing in atoms, count the hairs on your head, even see the different molecules in the air.  I can hear your heart, hear your breath, even hear the atoms vibrating in the floor.  It’s so much… How do you stand it?”

“Hmm, I guess I just sort of tune it out y’know.  Like listening to one conversation at a party.”

“Yes but this isn’t one conversation, this is a million things y-yelling at me a-at – AH!”  In a blur she retied the cape around her head and panted a few times.  “That’s better.”

“Sweet liberty, if a shielded box is too much for you, when will you be able to go outside?”

“I… I don’t know.  I really don’t.  I’ll have to count on you to find the cheerleaders and let me know what’s going on.  At least until I can master these powers.”

“Don’t worry Gloria, we’ll find them, I swear.  We’ll have everything back to normal before you know it.”

“Thanks Lynn, I know you’ll come through.”

“In the meantime I’ll keep an eye on the rest of the city, try to pick up the slack until you’re both back in action.”

“Thanks Princess.  We’ll keep in touch.”

***

With Stella stuck helplessly in the shielded room the Minx and Princess Patriot took the hidden elevator back up to the penthouse.

“Sweet Liberty, I always hoped you two would trust me with your secret identities but I never imagined it would be like this!”

“Huh?  Oh yeah, I guess we never told you did we.  Yeah I’m Lynn Lewis and the Minx is Gloria Barbarossa.”

“The Commissioner Barbarossa’s daughter?”

“Yup.  Heh.  This is pretty cool huh?”

“You mean the Minx Pad?”

“No, no, I mean this whole switcheroo thing.  Gloria’s finally learning how hard it is to be a real superhero, like me.”

“I suppose, but surely you’re finding it hard to take on her role as well?”

“Why?  I mean I used to watch her all the time with my stellar sight.  I know all her tricks.  This will be a breeze.”

***

The Minx watched Princess Patriot fly away on her winged sandals.  She started to laugh.  It was just too cool!  She was free!  No powers!  No Gloria!  No Stellar Man!  No one was watching her!  For the first time she could do whatever she wanted!

This was going to be way too much fun!

She stripped off her Minx outfit and raided Gloria’s closet.  It was full of long skirts, conservative blouses and other frumpy clothes.  The Minx frowned.  Then she found a box in the back labeled ‘undercover outfits’.  Searching that box she found on a pair of low-cut, hip-hugging jeans and a tight stripped sweater that ended on her midriff.  The stripes accentuated her boobs nicely.  She cradled them and bounced them up and down a bit.  “Mmm so much nicer than mine.”  The Minx was a bit shorter than Lynn and her legs a bit thicker with lean muscles but Lynn decided they were still pretty attractive.  Her stomach was a bit more muscular too, more like a gymnast or a dancer than Stella’s waifish form.  But of course the Minx actually needed those muscles so she wasn’t going to complain.

As she headed for the garage the Minx mused that it kind of sucked not being able to fly every where but she could deal with it.  She’d start looking for those cheerleaders later, for now she figured she deserved a chance to relax.

***

Trapped in her shielded room Stella felt like she was going mad with boredom.  She wished she had a book but knew she’d never be able to read it, she’d be lucky if she could stop herself from looking through the pages.  All she could do was experimenting in taking off the indestructible cape off her head for longer periods.  Sometimes she could last 30 seconds, sometimes less.

The worst thing was knowing that her photographic memory was recording it all; every dancing atom, the sound of every molecule of air.  How much could she take before she went mad?

She put those fears out of her mind.  Her memory was already filled with useless details, it never bothered her before, why would it bother her now?  She took off the blindfold again.

Finally felt she didn’t need it.  She took a deep breath and looked at the sealed door.

Surely she could stand it?  She’d been caught off guard before but now she was used to it.  She’d go outside and probably hunt down those cheerleaders before the Minx even got off the elevator.

Right?

She opened the door.

The NOISE!

The LIGHT!

It hit her like a tidal wave!

She slammed the door shut and run to a corner of the room.  She snuggled up with her cape and cried into it like a towel.

***

“Mmm, another one please!  Hey bartender what did you say this was called?”

“A screwdriver.”

“Wow, it’s sooo good.  I think I’m getting a little drunk.”

The man down the bar didn’t need to hear anything else.

“Hey babe, come here often?”

“Mmm” She licked her lips.  He had a perm and mustache, an open shirt showing off his chest hair and several gold chains.  He was so hot!

“Hey handsome, live around here?”

“Well I-“

She took his hand and pulled him out of the bar.

They didn’t even make it to his place.  He just took her to the backseat of his car and pulled off the tight sweater.  The Minx gasped when he touched her breasts.  Wow!  Gloria’s body was so sensitive!  No wonder she liked sex so much!

It was hard to slip out of her jeans in the back seat, especially with the mustache guy on top of her sucking on her boobs but she managed it.  Mustache was inside her in a heartbeat.  The Minx had to gasp.  It was sooo good.  “Faster” she whimpered softly.  She squeezed her eyes shut and enjoyed the sensation of a normal dick pounding in and out of a normal pussy.

But she wasn’t normal was she?  The Minx’s body was tuned to the peak of human ability.  Her every muscle, every nerve, was primed and keen for action.  It was like going from a VW bug to a Mercedes sports car.  The Minx bit down on her arm to stop from screaming as she came.  She couldn’t believe what it was like; she closed her eyes and sighed deeply.  But mustache kept pounding!  She started to climb again.

She came twice and was close to a third before mustache finally came.  She was disappointed when he finally pulled out.  She pulled her jeans on and accepted his offer of a cigarette.

“Wow… I never… wow.”  Was all she could say.

“Never?  Yeah right, pull the other one sweety.”

“I mean um, it was never like, you know, for me.  Before.  You’re a heckuva good fuck.”  She ran her nimble fingers through his chest hair.

“Yeah babe.  I know.”

They fucked again before she left.  It wasn’t as good, he was barely hard, but the Minx didn’t complain.

***

The Minx didn’t get home until 3 and fell right into bed.  Being normal sure made her tired.

The phone woke her up at 8.

“Um, hello?”

“Kara Danvers please.”

“Speaking… I mean um… uh… who’s calling?”

“Kara is that you?”

“What?  No, no, I’m just sleepy, this is Gloria.  Really.  Honest.”

“Ah hello Ms. Barbarossa, this is Principal Nottingham from New Troy School.  I’m sorry I thought this was Kara’s number.  She’s didn’t come to school today and we’re worried.”

“Oh… right, yeah.  She um, she’s not herself lately and had to take off.  I’m uh, house-sitting for her.”

“I see.  Well when she returns you can tell her she won’t be needed here any longer.”

“Huh?”

“I’m sorry Gloria, I know she’s your friend and we’ve tried to be accommodating but there have been too many unexplained absences.  And now she didn’t even call in.  We have to let her go.”

The Minx felt the blood drain from her face.  She hadn’t wanted the job at New Troy but she’d been there almost a year and (when she wasn’t being tricked by Greek gods) she really loved it.  She couldn’t just let go like that.  “Listen Principal Nottingham maybe you and I can talk about this, you know one-on-one.  Maybe over dinner tonight?”

***

“Hey Gloria!”

“AH!”  Stella jumped with a start, denting the lead wall behind her.

“Opps, sorry.  Hey you OK?”

“YEAH FINE!”

The Minx winced and waved her hand down a few times.

“S-sorry, is that better?”

“A little loud but OK.  So did you go outside at all?  Doing better with my powers?”

Stella looked again the Minx.  No matter how hard she tried she could only see a walking skeleton.  She shook her head again.  It was hard to concentrate over the sound of buzzing atoms all around her.  “Um… a little.  You know just for a minute or two… Maybe less.  And you?  Any luck finding the cheerleaders?”

“Huh?  Oh no, no leads, sorry.  I was just y’know, getting used to this body.”

“Getting used to it?”

“You know, walking around, trying stuff out.”

“What do you… oh never mind, I don’t want to know.  Lynn we need to focus on reversing that spell.”

“Right, right Gloria.  Where do I start?”

“I… I don’t know.  With the police reports maybe?  Where ever those four go-”

“Four?  I thought there were five of them?”

“Suzy Angel is their prisoner, she doesn’t count.  Anyway where ever they go strange crimes follow.  Plot any strange incidents on a map and use that to zero in on their location.  Then sneak in and find the talisman that maintains the spell.”

“Wow, that’s a really good plan Gloria, thanks.  You’ll be able to help right?”

“I… sure Lynn.  Soon.”

“OK, I’ll get started.  Hey can I get you anything?  A magazine or something to eat?”

“I…  No.  I don’t think I could focus on a book right now.  And weird, I’m not hungry at all; I haven’t even had to go to the bathroom.”

“Oh yeah, I guess I should have told you about that.”

“Hmm?”

“It’s one of my powers.  I get power from the sun so I really don’t need food or to go to the bathroom or anything.  This one time I went on a space mission for a week with Stellar Man and well it’s not like there’s a bathroom in the asteroid belt…  But I don’t really advertise it, I mean stellar bladder control?  What would people think?”

Stella started to laugh, the Minx joined her.  They hugged.

“Don’t worry Gloria, it’ll be OK.”

“I know Lynn, I know.  Just please, hurry.”

***

The Minx spent the day trying to figure out the stupid computer.  It was impossible!  There were all these blinking lights and knobs but nothing was labeled!

Fine then.  She’d get the information another way.  The cops could do it for her, wasn’t that their job?

But first she had a dinner date.

***

“So Principal Nottingham, how are you?”

“Fine, fine.  Always a pleasure to see you Ms Barbarossa.”

They were in the restaurant on the roof of the Megapolis Palace, overlooking the whole city.  From there they would see the Shooter Building, Romita Tower (and it’s newly constructed partner, called ‘Romita Jr.’), the Sterenko Bridge and dozens of other famous sites.  Candles burned on the table.  There was a bottle of wine on ice.  It was very romantic.

They chatted for a while.  It was hard for the Minx since she wasn’t quite sure how Gloria knew him; he was some sort of family friend or something.  But eventually she was able to steer things to business.

“I’m sorry Ms Barbarossa; Ms Danvers has been chronically absent, chronically late and does not even call in.  I knew when I hired her that she had some health issues but I have to think of the welfare of the school.  We need people we can rely on.”

The Minx got ready, this was it!

“Oh but surely you can find a way to keep her on?  I know she enjoys it a lot and I would be…”  She lowered her voice.  She smiled and played with her hair.  She ran her finger around the rim of the glass.  “…very, very, grateful.”

“I um…”

“You know, I rented a room here tonight.  There’s a gorgeous view of the city.  But it does get lonely there alone.”

“Um…”  The principal was sweating now.  “That does sound quite, nice… but I should be going now… my wife…”

She stood up and took his hand; she led him towards the elevators.  “Now, now Mr. Nottingham, surely what your wife doesn’t know won’t hurt her.”

Somewhere around their third fuck Nottingham swore Kara Danvers would always have a job at the New Troy School.

***

After putting the principal in a cab, the Minx changed into costume and headed out in one of Gloria’s sports cars.  It wasn’t too late, only 11 or so.

She pulled in the alley outside Detective Mulligan’s office.  She studied the bracelets again.  How the heck did Gloria make them work?  She tired pushing on them, wiggling her wrist; wagging her fingers… finally a diamond-tipped dart shot out and buried itself in the alley wall.  The Minx shook her head and just walked in.

She had to fight not to giggle as heads turned.  Every cop in the building was staring at her.  Even the secretaries and policewomen were looking on with envy.  It was good to be the Minx.

She took the elevator to the 6th floor and marched into Mulligan’s office.  “I need every strange incident that’s happened in the last week plotted on a map!”  She barked.  She tried not to laugh, she sounded totally pushy, just like Gloria.

“So?”

“Um, it’s really important.  Really super important.”

Mulligan looked her up and down.  He wasn’t an idiot, he was a detective.  This woman looked like the Minx but sounded nothing like her.  Yeah the voice was the same, but she was talking like a total bimbo.  Besides, the Minx always came in through the window.  He lit a cigarette and gave it a moment’s thought.

“Close the door.”

The girl obeyed.  Another thing the Minx would never do.

“Sit down.”

Obedience again.

“Now what was it you were asking for?”  He emphasized the word ‘asking’.

“I… I need a map showing all the strange robberies and crimes in the last few weeks.  I uh, think that Satan’s Cheerleaders are back in town.”

“Uh-huh.  So why not use your Minx computer?  Aren’t you always bragging how it’s better than anything we cops have?”

“It’s kind of um, broken.”

“Uh-huh.  So what about your partner?  Can’t she just find them with her x-ray eyes?”

“That’s not how it works!  Stellar sight is really hard to use!  Just because I –  I mean she –  I mean um… she’s not available now.”

Mulligan nodded.  Things were coming together in his mind.  A plan formed.  “I’m sorry police records are confidential, we can’t be sharing them with masked vigilantes.”

“But you let the Minx – I mean me – I mean… oh stars and comets… she makes this look so easy.”  She muttered, not quite low enough.

Bingo!  Mulligan tired to suppress a smile.  He turned around in his swivel chair, facing away from the Minx.

“Sorry Minx, nothing I can do.”

The Minx made a decision.  There was no way she could go back home and admit she couldn’t do it.  Whatever it took she was going to get that information.  Besides it was Gloria’s body anyway.  With Mulligan’s back turned, she unbuttoned her trademark coat and climbed on her hands and knees on his desk.  She put her hands on his shoulders and purred “isn’t there something I can do to persuade you?”

He turned his head and she kissed him.  They kissed again.  And a third time.  He pulled her off the desk onto his lap and unhooked her black silk bra.  She unbuttoned his shirt and kissed his hairy chest.  She could feel the heat from his member through the thin silk panties.  He grunted something, the Minx nodded.

They got up.  She took off the coat and panties (leaving the mask, stockings and boots).  He dropped his pants.  They made love against the window sill.  It was pretty quick and hardly romantic but neither of them complained.

Finally the Minx pulled her bra, panties and coat back on.  Mulligan pulled up his pants.

“So how about the map?”

“Huh, oh yeah, I’ll whip something up and have it for you tomorrow night.  Same time?”

“Huh?  Oh yeah, OK.”

The Minx left the office with a devilish smile on her face.  This detective stuff wasn’t too hard at all.  She always thought Gloria just complained a lot to make herself look smarter.

***

Stella looked deeper.  Then deeper still.  She could almost see it, the nucleus of an atom!  It was so beautiful, nothing like the balls and lines of science text books, the quantum energy fields glowed with colors human languages had no words for.  Their sounds were like a celestial choir singing the secrets of the universe.

She felt like she could stare at it forever.

***

The Minx got up around noon and stretched.  What a great night!  It wore her out but she was really getting the hang of this!  She’d saved her job and gotten the police to help!

After a long shower the Minx stepped out and looked at herself in the mirror.  She smiled.  She could get used to this face.  Maybe if she dyed her hair blond…

She got dressed and headed downstairs to the Minx Pad.  “Gloria?  You here?”  Her cry echoed through the cavernous tunnels but no one answered.  She opened the isolation box.

The smell hit her first.

“Yuk!”

Stella was there on her knees, her face slack.  Her glassy blue eyes so pale they were almost white.  A bit of drool fell from her chin.  And her red hotpants were stained dark.

“Oh stars and comets!  Gloria!  What happened?”

Stella didn’t answer.

“Gloria I told you you have stellar bladder control!  How could you do this to my body?  You don’t see me abusing your body!”

Stella made no response.

“Well get up, let’s get you cleaned up!”

Stella still didn’t move.  The Minx kneeled down next to her and waved her and a few times.  No response.

“Gloria?  Are you OK?  Gloria?”

She put her hands on Stella’s shoulders and tried to pull her up but the girl of stars didn’t move; she was totally rigid.

“Stars and comets!  I guess you couldn’t handle being me after all!  I told you it was hard!  I told you!  Well now you know!  And just so you know, I’m having no trouble being you!  In fact I’m even better at it than you were!”

Stella still sat there, unmoving.

“Well tomorrow I’m going to get that stupid map and find those cheerleaders OK?  But, but maybe I won’t reverse the spell huh?  How would you like that miss know-it-all?”

Still no reply.

“Fine!  I’m leaving!  You can just lie there in your dirty clothes and smell like a bum!”

She got out and slammed the door behind her.  Then she started to cry.  “Stupid Gloria… stupid fucking Gloria…”

***

She was so close!  Stella could almost see it now!  Einstein was right!  All energy, all matter, even time were all part of a single unified field.  And she could figure it out, if only she could peer a little bit deeper!

***

The Minx spent the rest of the day shopping.  There was nothing she could do till she got the map from the cops and besides Gloria’s wardrobe was so stuffy!  Except for a few things she kept around for undercover missions she still dressed like a librarian!

She dropped the stuff off in Gloria’s room and checked in on Stella.  Stella was still sitting there, dead to the world.  She wiped off some drool and shook her head.  If she didn’t get this spell reversed soon there might not be a point.  She would have to be the Minx forever.

She stopped and thought about that for a second.  But no.  She made a promise.  Still… if she couldn’t reverse it… well no one could blame her.  Heck, no one would even know.

***

Once night fell she drove back to police headquarters.  This time she didn’t even bother trying those wrist darts.  Why did Gloria make them so complicated anyway?  She marched in, ignored the stares of the cops and knocked on Mulligan’s door.

“That you Foxy?”

“Yeah.  Where’s my map?”

“I got it, I got it.  Downstairs, follow me.”  He led her down several flights of stairs to an interrogation room.  A table was bolted to the floor in the center, along with two metal chairs.  One wall was taken up by an enormous mirror.  A large envelope was sitting on the table.  Mulligan closed the door behind him.

“OK, thanks, I gotta go.”

Mulligan grabbed her arm.  “Sorry Foxy, but it’s payment on delivery.”  He mashed his lips against hers; she tried to push him away.

“No-no!”

“Hey do you want my help or not?”

“Just let me go!”

He shoved and knocked her off her feet.  He stomped hard on her stomach knocking the breath from her lungs.

“Don’t worry Foxy, I know you’re just playing hard to get.  I mean you’re the Minx right?  The world’s greatest martial artist, right?  You got a dozen weapons in that coat of yours right?  If you didn’t want this you could stop me a dozen different ways right?”

He straddled her and unbuttoned her coat.  Tears filled her eyes but he ignored them.  He yanked the bra off and freed her breasts.  They were incredibly firm, even on her back they barely settled at all.

“No!  Please!”

“Come on now Foxy, if you’re the Minx you can stop me any time right?  So I guess you don’t want to stop me!”  He yanked and the silk panties came right off.  “Besides, you weren’t so shy last night right?”

The Minx groaned.  Mulligan pulled her legs apart.  “Last chance Minx, if you don’t want this, do something now.”

“Please…”

“Good enough for me!”

He pounded the brunette heroine a dozen times before cumming inside her.  He climbed off and zipped up his pants.  He prodded her with his foot.

“Hey Foxy here’s your information” he dropped the envelope on her breasts.  “You’d better get going, we need the room.  But come back any time you hear?”  He laughed.

The Minx painfully pulled herself off the floor and buttoned her coat.  She threw the panties and bra in a pocket.  Hugging the envelope to her chest she hurried out of Police Headquarters and back to the car.  It roared out of the alleyway.

Mulligan headed back downstairs and opened the door next to the interrogation room.

“Hey Harris, did you get it?”

“Get it?  Oh yeah, we got it all on videotape.  Damn Mulligan, was that really her?  She was seriously crying and shit.”

“Oh yeah, that was her.  She’s uh, she’s always like that.  You know, those women’s libbers are always talking about equality and shit, but once you get them on their back they want a strong man to ream them.”

He smiled to himself.  There was no way Stella would ever admit what happened to anyone, especially not the Minx.  He figured it was as close as he’d ever get to fucking the Minx herself so he’d made sure it was recorded for posterity.

Harris looked again at the tape.  “Hey is it just me or does the Minx look like old Joe Barbarossa’s girl?”

“Who Gloria?  Nah, doesn’t look anything like her, Gloria’s got glasses and wears her hair in a granny bun.”

***

Several blocks away the Minx sat in her parked car crying.  She was grateful for the tinted windows that gave her some privacy.

“Stupid Gloria, why didn’t you tell me it was like this!”

She couldn’t go home.  There was no way she could face Gloria now.  But she didn’t really feel like trying to hunt down the cheerleaders either.  She couldn’t stand to look inside that envelope.

She needed something that would make her feel better.

There was a flash of lightning and a crash of thunder.  She looked up.

Princess Patriot was fighting a giant robot downtown.

“Oh well.  Nothing I can do about that.”  She said gratefully.  It was so nice to be free of burden of being Stella.

“Hey!  If Princess Perfect is here then Timmy O’Leary must be home!”

She started the car.

She knew just the thing to cheer herself up.  He’s had this coming for a long time.

***

All loyal Americans must stand with President Nixon in this time of war and stop questioning his policies.  Anyone who doesn’t agree with our president may as well pack his bags and move to the Soviet Uni-

DING-DONG!

Timmy O’Leary snarled.  It was almost 11, who would be coming by at this hour?  He thought of his girlfriend Kathy Libertine (aka Princess Patriot) but a quick glance out the window showed she was still fighting that giant robot.

Timmy O'Leary

DING-DONG!

“Coming!” He yelled.

The Minx put on her sexiest smile when he opened the door.  She stepped inside without being invited.

“Mmm, hi there Timmy.”

“Hello Ms. Barbarossa.”

“Oh are you still trying that?  You know you should call me the Minx.”

“Still playing that game huh?  In that case you can just make a tree and leave-“

But the Minx had already walked past him into the bedroom.  “So how are things with Princess Perfect?”

“Things are fine, couldn’t be better.”

“Is she still holding out on you?”

“Huh?  What do you-“

The Minx started unbuttoning her coat bit, by bit.  “Must be hard Timmy.  A cute little teen heroine in your arms, and you can’t fuck her.  Timmy O’Leary and Princess Perfect the eternal virgin.”

“I um… we have sex.”  He blushed red as a beet.

“I know, I’ve watched.  Blowjobs, 69s, even the back door, but never the real deal.”  She finished removing the coat.  She wasn’t wearing anything under it.  She sat down on the bed and gestured for Timmy to come.

“I…”

She pulled him close and kissed him.  She unbuttoned his shirt and lay him down on the bed.

“I bet you’ve been just a little frustrated all these months.”  She unzipped his jeans and put a hand on his quivering member.  “Yup, I can feel it.”

“W-what are you-“

She climbed on top of him and lowered herself onto his burning dick.  She sighed with relief.

“Mmm that’s better isn’t it?”

O’Leary gasped.  The Minx started to move up and down, riding him like a horse.  He squeezed his eyes shut and didn’t even notice the Minx gently moving his wrists up to the headboard.  He heard a CLICK.

“Wha-huh?” His hands were cuffed to the bed.

“Oh just something to spice this up.  You don’t mind do you Timmy?”

“Huh?  No, I mean, it’s actually pretty good.”

“I know what you’re thinking Timmy.”

“What do you mean?”

“When you close your eyes during sex, I know what you’re thinking about.  I know who.”

“I uh- I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“I know all about those pictures of Stella in your closet.  The ones you took up Stellar Girl’s skirt when she was flying.  The ones of Stella bending over so you can see her ass or her tits.  The ones with Stella’s costume soaking wet.  I know all about them.

“I- I covered Stellar Man and Stellar Girl for years, I-I have hundreds of pictures.”

“You’re thinking of her aren’t you Timmy?  The girl of the stars, the paragon of purity, the maid of majesty and all that other BS you made up about her.  You love her don’t you Timmy?  You’re in love with Stella and Princess Perfect is just your little substitute.”

She sped up, Timmy grunted something.

“Oh you don’t have to tell me Timmy, I’m the Minx after all.  The world’s greatest detective.  Just nod, and I’ll be happy.”

Timmy nodded furiously.

“Y’know Timmy, I’m very close to Stella, very, very close.  I know things about her.  I know what she thinks of you.”

Timmy opened his eyes.

“Do you want to hear?”

Timmy nodded again.

The Minx leaned down, her breasts tickled his chest, her hair fell over his face.  She whispered.

“She thinks you’re a little creep and she remembers you taking all those pictures when she was just a teenager.  And she says you will never, ever, EVER touch her!”  The Minx laughed and climbed off the bound reporter.  His dick shot its load over his own hips and stomach.  He struggled helplessly with the cuffs.

“Good night Timmy.”

“Hey wait a second you can’t just leave me here like this!”

“Can’t I?”

The Minx laughed and closed the bedroom door behind her.  Soon she was outside and in her car.

Minutes later Princess Patriot landed in the living room.  She spun in place and with a crash of thunder the Defender of Democracy was replaced with Kathy Libertine, typist at the Daily Comet.

“Timmy?  Are you there?  Timmy?”  She opened the bedroom door.

And saw Timmy O’Leary handcuffed and covered in his own cum.

She screamed.

“I can explain everything!”  He yelled.

***

Stella couldn’t get her eyes to focus right.  She couldn’t hear the music anymore.  Her head was hurting.  She shook it again and tried to peer at the atoms again.  But all she could see was the far wall.

The wall started to spin.  There was a thud; she felt pain shoot through her head.

She realized she’d fallen over onto the hard metal floor.

She tried to get up.  She rose half a foot and then fell back on her side.

“What’s wrong with me…”  She mumbled.  Her throat was too dry, it came out as croak.  It was dark in the shielded room, she could barely see.

Realization hit her.  Sunlight!  Stella was powered by sunlight!  And she’d been underground in a room shielded against all forms of radiation!  How long had it been?  She had no idea.

She tried to move her arm; it flopped uselessly after days of inactivity.

“No…”  She croaked.  How long had it been since she had any food?  Since she’d moved?

Now she was helpless.  With nothing to do but wait for Lynn to come back.

Lynn hurry!”  She croaked.

***

The Minx laughed all the way to her car.  That would show stupid Timmy O’Leary!  She felt so much better.  That’s how it was supposed to be!  Men eating out of her hand, doing anything she said.  That’s what being the Minx really meant!

She wished she still had her stellar sight to see what happened when Princess Patriot came back but no matter.  She could just imagine it.

But by the time she arrived at the penthouse, her legs and back were aching from the evening’s activity.  She just wanted a shower and a warm bed.

“I’ll check in on Gloria tomorrow.”  She muttered.  She just didn’t have the energy or the will to face her friend tonight.

Besides she needed some sleep.  Tomorrow she was tracking down those darn cheerleaders!

***

“So you were trying out some escape techniques Night Fox taught you years ago.”

“Right, right.  You know as an ace reporter I get into all kinds of rough spots and have to be ready.  Good thing too cause I guess I’m a bit rusty.  I couldn’t get out of the cuffs.  I was trying to wiggle free when my pants came undone.”

“Uh-huh.”

“So then I realized I was stuck and I’d have to wait for you to come back and free me.”

“And the uh… mess?”

Timmy blushed.  “Well, like I said, I was thinking of you…”

Kathy giggled.  She’d been so mad but sure enough everything was fine.  She looked down at her bound boyfriend and smiled.

“That’s so romantic of you.”

“Gee honey, thanks.”

“I think you deserve a special reward.”  She took off her t-shirt and climbed on top of him, applying her mouth to his salty member.

Timmy sighed happily.  He closed his eyes and pictured Princess Patriot with blond hair.

***

“Hey this is easy!”

Studying the file from Mulligan, the Minx easily pinpointed an abandoned warehouse on the west side with all sorts of strange crimes centered around it.  She made plans to check it out.

She spent the rest of the day practicing with Gloria’s weapons.  She finally got the hang of the bracelets and could fire tranq darts, tasers and explosive darts from them.  She got used to throwing the dazzle gems that would blind opponents and the smoke bombs that would hide her.  Then, just in case, she added a .44 automatic from the Gloria’s evidence locker.

By nightfall she was ready!

As she roared out of the hidden garage she realized she never checked up on Gloria.  Oh well.  It’s not like she was going anywhere.

***

Sure enough she was right!  She’d only been staking the place out for an hour when she saw one of the cheerleaders come out.  It looked like she was selling drugs to some high school kids.

The Minx started up her car and hit the gas.  It was one of the Minx’s modified sports cars with a reinforced bumper and boosted engine.  The car easily roared through the chain-link fence and smashed the front door of the warehouse.  The interior was decorated like some kind of bordello, all red drapes and dark furniture.  The Minx tsk’ed at their lack of good taste.

She hit a button on the dashboard and smoke bombs fired off in every direction.  She jumped out of the car, the special lenses in her Minx Mask let her see through the smoke.  One of the cheerleaders was in front of her.  She was wearing a pleated black miniskirt and a tight black sweater decorated with a red pentagram.  The Minx didn’t have to worry too much about who she was!

She threw a punch!

And the cheerleader easily dodged!

She kicked!

And the cheerleader dodged!

“Forget this!”  The Minx aimed a dart at her.

And missed the other cheerleader behind her.  The one with the chloroform-soaked rag.

The Minx struggled as the sweet-smelling rag was held over her mouth.  She tried not to breath but the first cheerleader came over and punched her in the stomach.  She gasped and took a deep breath of the chloroform.  Her eyes started to glaze over, the knees wobbled.  She fired a taser dart and flew off harmlessly into the smoke.

She could hear laughter.  There were five of them around her now, smiling, laughing

“Not fair…”  Was all she could say as she fell to the floor.

***

“Mmm” the Minx was so comfortable.  And warm.  And happy.

She could feel the warm water churning around her.  Delicate fingers rubbed her shoulders.  She smiled and slowly opened her eyes.

“AH!”

She was naked.

She was in a hot tub.

Two cheerleaders were in there with her rubbing her shoulders and licking her neck.  She tried to struggle free but they held her like a vice.  A soft velvet vice but a vice all the same.

“Now, now Lynn Lewis, calm down, we’re not going to hurt you.”

Another one entered the room.  She was wearing their Satan’s Cheerleaders’ costume, a black pleated miniskirt and tight black sweater covered with a pentagram.  Like the others she was tall, thin, tan, blond and had firm globular breasts.  In fact, Stella looked from one to the other, they all looked very similar.  When Stella first met them last year they all had different heights, different hair, different faces.  But now they could be sisters, twins even.  And they all looked like those creepy plastic Barbie dolls.

“Hello Lynn, I’m Patti, it’s so good to see you again.  We had so much fun last time.”

The newcomer arched her back and peeled off the tight sweater.  She didn’t wear a bra.  She kicked off her black sneakers and slipped out of her black miniskirt.  She didn’t wear panties either.  She dipped one long leg into the hot tub, then the other and put her long willowy arms around the Minx’s neck.  Her breasts rubbed against the Minx’s, she kissed her but the Minx turned her head so the cheerleader only kissed her cheek.

“Aw, why are you so uptight?  You’ve done a lot more than kiss girls.”

“I…  How do you know?”

“Oh Lynn, I know all about your many, many sins.  All those skeletons in your closet?  I can see them.  And there are quite a few now.  Those gang members.  That robot guy.  Leo.  Even your cousin.  Compared to those sins, your little liaisons with that witch hardly even rate a mention.”

“W-what do you want?”

“Hmm?  That’s not why we brought you here.”

“You didn’t bring me here!  I found you!”

“Please, we made it hopelessly obvious.  To tell the truth we expected you a few days ago.”

“Oh.”

“But water under the bridge, we brought you here to talk about what YOU want.”

“I want you to let me go!  Put me back in my body!”

“Really?”

“Um, yeah.”

Patti hugged the Minx again and whispered in her ear.

“Think about it.  We can make the change permanent.  You can be young and beautiful and normal.  Forever!  No powers so no crime-fighting.  No responsibilities.  Let Gloria have your body, she likes having powers.  Haven’t you earned a rest?”

“Yes… I mean um, yes but, but Gloria can’t even use my powers and…”

“Oh Lynn, don’t worry.  That’s not a problem anymore.”

“Really?”

“Oh yeah, Gloria doesn’t have any problems with your powers anymore.”

“Wait a sec; you said you could make this permanent?  Isn’t it already permanent?”

“No, a little spell like this usually wears off in a day or two.  I’m surprised this one lasted so long.  I guess you must really like it.”

“I… I should talk to Gloria, I can’t-“

“This isn’t about Gloria, this is about you Lynn.  What do you want?”

The cheerleaders were all over her, kissing, rubbing, licking.  The Minx’s body jerked, she let out a low whine.  Patti was whispering again.

“You don’t know how lucky you are Lynn.  That body so beautiful, so fit, so sensitive, multi-orgasmic too.  Most women would kill to have it.  All you have to do is give your partner something she’s always wanted.  That’s not so bad is it?”

Lynn thought, it all seemed so simple, she could live a normal life and let Gloria fly around and fight robots and stuff.  It seemed perfect.  But it meant never being Stella again, it meant getting beaten up be cheerleaders, pushed around by cops.  She didn’t want that!

“No!  Turn me back!”

“Hmm, too bad.  Guess I go with plan B then.”

“Plan B?  What’s that?”

“This is plan B.”  She kissed the Minx on the lips, then shoved her head underwater.

“By the time the spell wears off you’ll be dead.  Gloria will switch back to a corpse and your wonderful, powerful body will be left mindless.  Hmm, there’s a lot I can do with that!”  She giggled.

The Minx opened her eyes underwater, she struggled but Patti was too strong, she couldn’t get loose.  All she could do was look at Patti’s legs.  Her legs, her bush and… her pussy!

She smiled and raised a hand.

“AH!  LUCIFER’S BEARD!”  Patti screamed and reeled back as the Minx pinched her labia.

The Minx shot out of the hot tub and ran.  Patti gasped a few times but finally managed to point and say “get her”.  The other two cheerleaders climbed out and gave chase.

Still naked and wet, the Minx ran around a corner and found herself in some kind of shrine.  Torches burned, strange tapestries with obscene symbols decorated the walls and in the center, on some kind of black marble altar was…

TWO VIDEOTAPES!

She remembered what Gloria told her, the spell needed some sort of talisman to function.  She reached a torch.

Patti appeared in the door just as she touched the flame to the black tapes.

“NO!”  She yelled.  But it was too late.

***

Deep underground in her shielded box Gloria wondered how long she had been lying there, unable to move.  She wondered how much longer she had before she passed out for the last time.  It was so tiring even to breath.

She closed her eyes.

And opened them again.  She was in some sort of satanic temple.  The smell of burning plastic filled her nostrils.  She was naked.  And wet.  But most importantly, back in her own body!

Patti was facing her, also naked, also dripping wet.  “Drat!”  She cursed.  “Oh well then, plan C.  Get her girls!”

The other four cheerleaders appeared.  Two naked and two in costume.  They were armed with their black and red pom-poms, pom-poms with razorblades hidden inside.  The Minx smiled and assumed a fighting stance.  “Come on.”  She said.

The fight was short and sweet.  Neither Satanism nor cheerleading gave the girls the skills they needed to take on the Curvy Crusader.  In seconds Satan’s Cheerleaders were on the ground groaning.  The Minx smiled at Patti.  “Now then?  You and me?”

“Sure.  Why not.  I’m certain Lynn will be fine while we fight.  Surely she can last a little while longer right?”

The Minx hesitated.  It would only take a few minutes to beat Patti and tie up the cheerleaders.  But she remembered how weak Lynn’s body was.  She didn’t know where she was, how far away Lynn was.  Did she really have the time?

“Damn it!”  She ran.

“You’re car’s upstairs!”  Patti called after her.  She tsk’ed and kicked one of the cheerleaders.  “OK girls, pack up, we’re leaving.  And starting tomorrow, combat practice.”

A half hour later, still naked, the Minx roared into her hidden garage and sprinted for the shielded box.  Waiting for the airlock to cycle took forever.  Finally she found Stella lying limp on the floor.  She pulled her out; she could feel a weak pulse.

“I’m sorry…”  Stella mouthed and then her eyes closed.

***

“Oh…”  Stella opened her eyes and looked at the rising sun was on the rooftop terrace, dressed in one of her bikinis.

The Minx was next to her holding her hand.

“Hey partner, feeling better?”

“Oh…”

“Here, have some water.”  The Minx held up a glass with a straw and let Stella take a sip.  “I’m so sorry Lynn, it’s my fault.  I just stayed in that box for days never getting any solar energy.  I’m lucky I didn’t get you killed.”

“No Gloria, it’s my fault, I never even thought about it.  I was just so busy, y’know, being the Minx.”

They held hands for a while.

“So what was it like?  Being Stella?  You were acting kind of weird for a while.”

The Minx remembered it all.  The magnificent symphony of dancing electrons, the glory of atomic fields, and how close she was to figuring it all out.  “Oh um, yeah, I kind of got caught up in something.  It’s not important now.”

“Oh.”

“And what about you?  What’s it like being the Minx?”

“Oh um, well you know, I was busy trying to find the cheerleaders.  I didn’t really have time much else.  But… y’know I’m sorry.  It’s a lot harder being the Minx than I thought.”

“I guess I owe you an apology too.  You were right, all those powers don’t make life easy, they’re a burden too.”

They sat in silence for a while.  Finally the Minx had to ask.  “So… did you ‘do’ anything?”

“Do?”

“You know.”

“Huh?  OH!”  Stella blushed beet red.  “Well um, yeah.  This one time, in the shower, I uh, touched myself.  I mean yourself, you know what I mean.”

The Minx laughed.  “Well I guess I can let that go!”

“It’s good to be back in my body Gloria.”

“And good to be back in mine Lynn.”

Afterword

This is one of those stories where the idea just came to me and the rest wrote itself. Generally Satan’s Cheerleaders pretty much write themselves.   Maybe after I finish Stella and the Minx I can give them their own miniseries.

The only frustrating thing was what to call them after the switch.  In a comic it would be easy; in text it’s a lot harder to keep it clear. So I called them by the bodies they were, but used their real names when I needed to make it clear who I was talking about.   Hopefully it all worked out.

I originally planned a different story in this slot but I decided this story would be impossible to tell once the next story arc starts so it went her.  And hey, this issue is called the Old Switcheroo!

Next issue: A savage murder!  And there’s only one suspect!  What will happen when the Minx is put behind bars?

Plus the menace of Rockhard!  Be there!
