Chapter 1: Getting to Know You

The four heroines stood side by side. They had finally cornered their prey.

The bounty hunter known as The Cloud stood before them with his back against a wall. He stood with his hands clenched into fists and waited for the heroines onslaught to begin.

“I can’t believe they all followed me,” he thought. He then said “Perfectly delicious” out loud.

“What did you say scumbag, I couldn’t hear you with that fucked up voice of yours.” said the youngest one.

The Cloud smirked under his mask; she was everything he had thought she would be.

The young one was dressed neck to toe in black spandex. She wore a black eye mask that framed her beautiful green eyes perfectly. She had black thigh high boots and black elbow length gloves on. Her dirty blond hair hung down between her shoulder blades. At 5’9 she was the tallest of the group. She was known as Midnight; apparently she had the power to disappear into darkness. How she accomplished that, no one knew. However, The Cloud wasn’t too worried about hers or any of the others powers. He had a plan.

“ I can’t believe I have the honor of having the four most prolific superheroines in Tempo City standing in front of me. I’m honored.”

The other blond one, Lighting, replied “ Let’s finish this guy, we wasted enough time chasing the coward.”

He knew she would be the leader of this group. Her powers were most impressive. Lighting had the ability to shoot bolts of lighting from her hands, could generate electrical impulses and also fly over short distances.

Coward, huh. You think I’m a coward.”

“Well, you certainly ran away from us fast enough. Just another loser, just another punk. Now you’re done.” She replied and placed her hands on her hips in the typical superheroine pose.

She stood 5’5, and had dirty blond hair that was cut in a bob and hung to just above her shoulders. Her costume was a one-piece blue spandex outfit with a yellow lightning bolt between her impressive breasts. She wore a yellow mask that matched her cape and boots. Lightning was the oldest of the four women, probably about 35 and seemed to be the perfect leader for their little group.

No, Blondie-I think you four may be the ones who are done.”

With that he turned around and pushed what seemed to be a loose brick into the wall, all of a sudden everything changed.

The lights went out and the room was almost completely thrown into the dark. The next thing they heard was what sounded like huge doors slamming down one after the other. Midnight felt like she had a million bugs crawling all over her. Lightning felt an immediate pounding in her head. The Cloud smiled behind his black mask, it sure looked like the plan had worked.

The other two heroines there also felt something immediately after the brick was pushed. The Dragon felt like someone had punched her in the stomach, it felt so real she actually crouched down and rolled into a defensive position thinking someone had attacked her.

The Dragon was Oriental; She was the most mysterious of the group and without a doubt the most quiet. The other three barely knew what her voice sounded like. Although all of the heroines were loners, they had worked together or at least spoken before. None of them had ever spoken to The Dragon until about an hour ago. No one could tell how old she might be, she could be 18 or she could be in her 40’s. She was perhaps the greatest martial arts performer in the world. Her skills were known throughout the globe and her abilities were considered to be the greatest ever known to mankind. She had unbelievable balance and was so fast on her feet that she almost seemed to disappear at times.

Dragon stood about 5’5, with jet-black hair that reached down to her lower back. She wore a white spandex costume with white stockings. Her chest had the emblem of a black oriental dragon on it. The black emblem matched her black calf high boots and her black headpiece that hid her face.

Whisper felt like she had stuck her hand into an outlet. She felt a charge run down her head then down her back and legs when the brick was pushed. Whispers power was really more mind control than anything. She was able to say things to people and they would do them. She also had extensive martial arts training, but her power was what made her a hero. Her outfit was the most risqué of the ladies. She wore green calf high stiletto boots that ended in 6 inch spiked heels. Her bottom was a kind of satiny green that showed off her amazing butt, allowing for just a glimpse of her cheeks. Her midriff was bare showing off her pierced belly button, and her top was just a green wrap that covered her perky breasts. She wore a green headpiece and her brown hair hung down just below her neck. She was short; standing 5’3, but that didn’t stop her from being the fantasy of many of Tempo City’s male population.

The Cloud looked at each of the four of them. He could tell something had happened, he could only hope that the expected effect had transpired.

I have to ask you ladies something, how do you feel?” he asked.

“What was that?” asked Whisper. She looked around and saw one yellow flashing light was providing all the light in the warehouse now. It also looked as if the room was much smaller than when they had entered.

Dragon stood up and moved to the left of The Cloud, seemingly to move into an attack position. Lightning put her hands up and thrust them in the direction of him and Midnight seemed to be growling at him. Whisper just glared at him. He was enjoying this so far.

As you know, I am a bounty hunter, if not THE bounty hunter all others are judged against. Did you not think it funny that I’d be robbing a bank in the middle of the night? Did you not think something was strange when you followed me so easily back to a warehouse? Why would you----

“Shut up asshole, we know all about your fucked up ways” replied Midnight. “And now you’re going down” With that she hurled herself at him bringing her boots up in order to land a devastating kick to his mid-section. He seemingly glided to the left avoiding the attack.

“Ughhhhh” was Midnight’s response as she crashed into the brick wall and slumped to the ground. The Cloud reached into his pocket and pressed a button and suddenly the floor under Midnight disappeared and she fell into the space. Almost as soon as she disappeared the floor returned and all hell broke loose.
