Chapter 3 –Information

The Cloud sat in a chair staring at 3 monitors. The heroines had been set up as he promised and he was sitting back admiring his work. “I really pulled this one off nicely,” he thought.

He glanced once more at the monitors in front of him to make sure everything was still as it should be. It was, but they should be coming around soon and then it would be showtime. He reached under the chair and picked up the duffel bag he had stashed at the warehouse a few days ago. It was now filled with 2 million dollars. He zipped it closed and placed it by the outside door.

An alarm beeped and he turned towards another door on the far side of the room. He pressed a button and the door swung open.

A small man in a white lab coat walked in and stood in front of him.

“So, do you have the information doctor?” He had been waiting for the little man to return with the information he wanted.

“I have some.”  replied the doctor. “I was forced to speed through some of these blood tests rather quickly so I cannot be certain of the results. The first thing I can tell you I that I have nothing of value pertaining to where their powers are from.” He glanced nervously at The Cloud. “Secondly, they are not able to produce children for some reason. If that is a result of their mutations or just a coincidence I don’t know.”

“Hmmm, that’s interesting,” said the Cloud. “Go on.”

“Lastly, their healing ability seems to be about 20 times that of a normal woman in the same physical condition. The one you have….displayed is already almost fully healed.”

Again, very interesting….is there anything else of interest you would like to advise me of doctor?”

“No, of course I was unable to examine the young lady you sent down into the catacombs.”

“You can examine the corpse later.”

“Why would you do that to anyone? No one deserves a fate like that.”

“She was a nasty little bitch who had it coming to her.” He stood up and walked over to the doctor. His 6’5 frame dwarfing the much smaller man. He reached out and grabbed the smaller man’s neck choking him “I want you to remember to never, ever, ask me why I do anything ever again- do you understand me? Do you remember what is at stake here for you doctor?”

The doctor nodded his head.

“Good, besides now your wife and son will have company down there Now get back to work before you make me mad and I do something I may regret.”

With that he released the doctor from his grasp. The doctor scrambled back towards the door and left the room to continue analyzing the test results.

“Ok” thought the Cloud “ Lets get this party started.” He reached for a microphone and flicked a switch on the console.

Thank you for your honesty and integrity in keeping this arrangement. You will find the piece you requested set up as we discussed and in a sedate mood. Be aware the sedative will be wearing off soon and while their strengths are diminished you should still proceed with extreme caution. I thank you for your generosity and feel my fee was well earned. I hope you are satisfied with my work and please feel free to contact me in the future for any other jobs. There is a chest in the corner of the room you will be entering in case you feel the need to transport your property as well as all other tools that you requested. Thank you, for your professionalism and courtesy. Please remember to lock the door on your way out. Good Bye.”

With that he pressed a green button allowing his customers to see what their 1 million dollars had gotten them.
