Thanks again to everyone who voted for The Wizard's Lair and our contributors at The Bondage Awards!  As the nomination period for the awards had already began by this time last year, it looks like The Bondage Awards staff are not going to announce any further categories.  The Bondage Awards website had all of the results up for a few hours, and, although those results could have changed for unknown reasons, at that time the posted results indicated The Wizard's Lair  placed Third as Best Free Bondage Website, placed First as the Best Bondage Story Site, and placed First as the Best Superhero Bondage site. The Bondage Awards website has announced that Superheroine Central finished in the top 10 in the Best Bondage Paysite category, and Raven, Syncro, and I finished in the top 10 in the Best Bondage Comic Artist category! I thank all the contributors for their hard work, our fans for their support, and Superheroine Central for hosting us. I also thank the staff of  The Bondage Awards website for their hard work in conducting the voting, and hope the pause in posting the results is not due to misfortune within their ranks.

I make the above announcement for a reason. The time has come for a new Wizard to make the Lair his home. That's right! The world's best/largest free adult superheroine website is looking for a new helmsman (read owner) to act as the website's frontman and take on half the webmastering duties (I'll continue on as co-webmaster for the forseeable future). I am being gender specific intentionally. I strongly believe the principal spokesperson for this website should be a male persona given the adult themes. Fans and contributors should not worry; things will remain as they have been as we move forward to find a new Cheif Executive Officer for The Wizard's Lair. Those considering taking the helm of The Wizard's Lair should not take the task lightly; this is a free website, so there is no monetary compensation, and, assuming you have a co-webmaster (me for the forseeable future), you can expect to be working hours (6-12?) every other week to produce timely updates.  I'm afraid Vladi and I have developed a fan base that is huge, enthusiastic, and used to getting weekly or near weekly updates, and that the size of the updates only gets larger as we attract more and more talented contributors. Actually, it may cost money to keep the resources needed to do the webmastering up-to-date (photo editng software to make image thumbnails [I use Adobe Photoshop]; text editing software [I use Microsoft Word]; web authoring software [ I use NVU, which is free], and FTP software to communicate with the Superheroine Central server [I use CuteFTP]). However, you'll get to be the first one to see our contributors' artistic masterpieces! If your interested in donating your efforts on behalf of the adult superheroine genre, write me at wandamaximoff13@yahoo.com.

Why am I doing this now? Well, honestly, a month or two into my solo stint as webmaster I discussed doint this with Vladi; doing updates every week is pretty overwhelming! Despite the work, I put this off.  However, Syncro's unexpected passing has made me realize how vulnerable having only one webmaster leaves the fans of and contributors to The Wizard's Lair. They need assurrance that their website will go on into the future even if I suffer some unforseen disaster. That is why I am beginning this process now--to provide an assurance that this superb website that Vladi Wizard created will have an opportunity to continue to exist and become even better.

p.s. My internet computer finally crashed. I knew it would soon from before the Wizard retired, but I hung in with it because some of my favorite software won't work on my graphics computer, which had otherwise already been made ready to take over. Well now the graphics computer is the machine for all purposes, so things may look a bit different, be a bit slower getting put up, and may contain errors. Such is life!

This update is to pop up a banner for this year's bondage award page. Now, to make it easy on myself, I'll repost The Wizard's pep talk from a previous time this awards competition was held.

"Feel free to vote for The Wizard's Lair as the Best Free Website. These are the types of things that we do appreciate, since I don't get anything else for all this. I don't get paid. Nor does Scarlet Witch, nor any of the contributors to this website (exception being those winners of my story contests). Our rewards are comments by you, the visitors and the fans, and peer type awards such as these. And speaking of, some people are a bit curious as to why there are no comments made about their art. It doesn't take long to drop a line, and I have made it pretty easy by putting an email link at the bottom of each page. So today, write those artists and writers and thank them for all their contributions to this FREE website, and think about those people that you would like to see win some kudos (your's truly included, I hope), and start voting for them (and for ME :), starting in March."
