The Mark Seven Pt 4

The slower trucks were unable to keep up with the speedier little red Porsche, and eventually returned to the complex. “I'm sorry General, but Lullaby got away from us.” The Sergent reported.

“What happened to the other woman?” Asked the big man sitting in the soft stuffed chair next to the fireplace.

“She's at the bottom of the lake sir.” The Sergent saluted and was dismissed.

“So the Colonel is still alive.” Mused the General, as he pondered the next move of this new opponent.

While at the bottom of the lake a human drama was playing. Diana was awakened from her trance by the cold water and had already swallowed some of the liquid. Her hands were securely bound, as well as her ankles, which were attached to some type of heavy weight. “Can't break these ropes...still too weak..oohhh..have to hold my breath.” Trying to wriggle free sapped some of her already waning strength. “This doesn't look good.” Even an amazon needs oxygen to maintain her strength, so by holding her breath Wonder Lady wasn't able to regain enough strength to break her bonds. It seemed hopeless, and with each passing minute she felt weaker, until finally the super Heroine had to breathe. She struggled violently in the cold deep lake water, experiencing real fear for the first time, dreading the darkness that was beginning to cloud her mind, knowing that this time she would never awaken from it. The flow of bubbles slowed from her mouth and then stopped.

As this tragedy played out, her sister was being transported in the elevator to the lab from which Diana had escaped a few hours ago. “Make sure she's securely strapped to the table.” Ordered the pudgy maid, who still brandished the cattle prod. The limp unconscious figure of Dru Duke, aka Wonder Lass was tossed onto the metal table and her wrists and ankles secured by heavy leather straps. “I wonder what the General has in store for her.” The maid then led the men out of the lab.

“Ooohhh...my aching body.” Wonder Lass tried to raise a hand to her forehead, but it wouldn't move. “What did they use on me? Never felt pain like that...ooohhhh.” Looking around the area, she realized she was back in the lab, and as her full strength returned. “Those fools didn't remove my power belt.” Within minutes, she was able to easily snap the straps and sit up on the table. “I half expected to see Diana here. I wonder if they have her ooohh, I still feel that thing jabbing me.”

Back at the lake a little earlier, Harold and his lustful partner rowed ashore only to find the trucks speeding away down the road. “HEY WAIT FOR US.” Both men frantically waved their arms, but even if the men in the trucks saw them, they wouldn't have stopped the hot pursuit of Lullaby. “What now Harry?” The two men stood peering down the now empty road. “I'm going back to retrieve my prize.”

“She'll be stone cold dead by the time you reach her.” Harry protested, but the other man insisted. So they hastily rowed back to the spot they dumped Wonder Lady and then jumped into the lake to save the beautiful damsel for their sexual pleasures. It was an eerie scene that presented itself, like something from a horror movie. A gorgeous damsel floating limply in the dim moonlit water, with her ankles tied to weights that prevented her from rising to the surface. Both men hurriedly cut the ropes, and slowly lifted the unconscious and possibly dead body to the surface. Upon reaching the shore Harry started pumping the heroines chest, while his partner cleared her mouth to begin artificial respiration. After several minutes Harry said it was too late, and pronounced the woman as being dead. However, the other man didn't stop.

A few minutes later...“Cough, cough.” Wonder Lady gave a miraculous response, and water poured from the side of her mouth.

“AHA, she's alive. By heavens I'll have me a super Heroine after all.” The man jumped to his feet, elated with the prospects of having sex with this beautiful Amazon.

“I think not stubby.” Wonder Lady jumped to her feet, tossed the short heavy set man in the air, and then dashed away in a blur of speed.

The shadows were deep and very black, when the red sport car entered the Charleston alley, under the light of the full moon. A tall lithe female figure clad in black entered the rear door of the office building and took the elevator to the top floor. When she exited, a tall elderly man greeted her. “Welcome Ms Lullaby, he's waiting for you on the balcony.” The old guy then led the way towards a luxurious glass enclosed area that overlooked the city.

“I see you escaped the General's clutches.” A tall stocky man in his late thirties stood to greet his new guest. “It was only a matter of time before he put everything together and realized I was still alive, and that you hadn't killed me as ordered.”

“I need a drink.” Lullaby looked around for the liquor cabinet.

“Let Burt get you something.” Asphyxia motioned to the elderly man. “Get the lady a drink, Burt.”

“Gin straight up, no ice, and make it a double.” Lullaby sat in one of the soft plush chairs and gave a long sigh. “I'm glad to be away from that place.” When Burt gave her the glass, she quickly took a couple of large gulps.

“Whoa, don't drink it so fast. It'll go straight to your head.” The handsome man with the red beard cautioned her, and then stared at the woman looking for a reaction.

“You're right, I do feel a bit woozy.” Lullaby took another big swallow and tried to place the half filled glass on the table, but missed, letting it fall to the floor. “Shorry abouth that.”

“It's alright, Burt will get you another.” He smiled, knowing she wouldn't need another drink.

The sultry figure in black sank back in the chair, her vision becoming blurry and her speech almost unintelligible. “I've been drugged.” She thought, realizing her sudden disability was induced by something in the drink and not by how fast she drank it. “You...” Reaching her arm in the air Lullaby tried to sit up, but slid off the chair in the attempt. “Whyyyy...” Trying to stand the dazed woman fell to her knees and then to all fours. “I don..unnershtan,,whyyy?”

Colonel Asphyxia watched with amusement as Lullaby struggled to cope with the effects of the drug. “You simply don't fit in with my future plans. Your usefulness to me is at an end.” He watched as the palms of her hands slid along the plush carpeting, until her cheek met the pile.

Can't stay awake...what will he do with me?” Her eyes stared across the top of the fluffy red carpet, and then she saw a very blurry image of a pair of white female boots. “Whhoooo?”

“Sorry sweetheart, but you'll never know the answer to that question.” Asphyxia motioned for Burt to remove the unconscious raven haired beauty.

“What do we do with the body?” A tall, slim well endowed female figure asked.

“Don't worry, Burt will take care of it.” He replied just as the tall elderly gentleman bent down over the gorgeous body, lifted it off the carpet and slid the limp form over his shoulder.

“I have everything arranged sir.” Burt carried the body of Lullaby to the elevator.

Biddy felt a tingling sensation in her legs, and her mind slowly became aware of her situation. Even though her chin wouldn't lift off her chest, the ex-deputy realized she was still in the sterile metal lined room, tied to a chair. “Uuuhhh..what..did they do to me?” With all the strength she could muster, her eyelids opened, but could only see her naked lap. Her wrists were now bound to the separate chair arms instead of being tied together behind her. “Ouch..she remembered being stuck by a needle, and the feeling of floating above the room. “Oooo..that was neat.” Giving it a lot of effort she raised her head. “How long have I been here?” She wondered while wriggling uncomfortably in the hard wood chair. “ “I've got to go.” Her bodily functions made their presence known, making it imperative to get out of the situation. “HEY SOMEBODY, I GOTTA PEE.” There was no response, and from the solid sound of the room, she suspected it was sound proof. That left only two alternatives; Let it go, or get loose.

Meanwhile Diana, aka Wonder Lady crawled into the old ventilation shaft. “I'm surprised they didn't redesign the air system, when they built this new place.”  It took quite a while to get to her destination, so that she was able to peer into the lab. “She's not there.” Dejected for a moment at not seeing her sister, she then noticed the restraining straps were torn from the table. “She's been here, but how long ago, and where is she?” Tired from being nearly drowned, as well as given the old trance treatment by that witch, Wonder Lady remained in the ventilation duct, pondering her alternatives.

Earlier, Wonder Lass had exited through the same door she had been wheeled through, and proceeding down the long corridor, carefully listened at each door for any sound that would tell her what to expect. She listened at the interrogation room door, and thought she heard the muffled sound of grunting. “This room has special insulation for some reason.” Cautiously the Super Heroine turned the knob, but the door was locked. Then putting her ear to the door once more she heard a muffled cry for help, so Wonder Lass forced it open, and was startled to see Biddy Birdwell, naked as a Jaybird, and tied to a chair crying. She then blurted out. “What are you doing here?”

“Hurry and get me loose, I gotta go bad.” Biddy implored the Super Heroine.

After freeing Biddy, Dru said. “Go in that trash can, we can't take time to look for a bathroom. We need to simply escape and regroup.” Wonder Lass led Biddy back to the lab, which had a door to the outside for deliveries, not knowing that Wonder Lady was resting in the ventilation duct above the lab.

While back in Charleston, Burt carried the limp body of Lullaby into the elevator, and went to the first level garage under the building. He then took the time to bind the woman's wrists behind her back and to bind her ankles together, before placing her into the panel truck. Then he sent a coded text message, and the Limo in gear to speed out onto the busy downtown street.

While upstairs in the penthouse a plan was being hatched. “The General's going to need a replacement for Lullaby, and I think you'll do nicely, Sis.” Asphyxia sat down in the living room to watch the football game. “Who do you like, Angel?” Looking at the tall shapely brunette, wearing a white string bikini that barely covered her nipples and crotch, he almost forgot they were siblings. “I like the Cowboys.”

“The Skins will eat them alive.” Angel dipped the cracker in the caviar, lifted the champagne glass off the counter and then relaxed onto the love seat. “You've made the arrangements?”

“He'll be expecting you in the morning. My contact at the Syndicate has recommended you.” He downed the last of his beer, and got up to get another. “That Burt is taking a long time.” After popping the lid, Asphyxia declared. “No more business talk. A thousand says the Cowboys by a touchdown.”

“Oooohh..my aching head.” Sometime later, Lullaby lifted her head to see the tall elderly butler staring out the window of a damp dark room. “You look like your expecting someone.”

“Just being careful.” He turned to face the woman in black. “What did you do to have the boss want you dead?” He asked, pacing the room.

“Why did you turn on him, and why ain't I dead?” She pulled on the ropes, but they wouldn't give.

“The Foundation for law and Justice will have use for the information you can provide.” Burt smiled as if he knew a secret.

“You're working for the Foundation? I don't understand. You've been with the Colonel for years.” Lullaby was genuinely puzzled.

“I'm not really Burt.” The man replied. “I'm a very special agent for the Foundation, known as the Chameleon. I took Burt's place a month ago.” There was a blur as a fuzzy opaque cloud descended upon the man, and when it dissipated a gorgeous well endowed female figure took his place.

“WOW, that's quite a trick.” Lullaby was duly impressed. “Can I have a closer look?”

The Chameleon was a bit suspicious of the request, but the woman was bound hand and foot, so what could be the harm? “Yes, I'm for real, and have been a great asset for the Foundation.” She moved over to where Lullaby sat, and without realizing the eminent danger looked at the villain's sexy face, until their eyes met. “Oh, I feel kinda strange...what's happening?” She tried to look away, but found her eyes to be transfixed on the woman's entrancing gaze. Then just before she was completely under Lullaby's influence, the Chameleon remembered the special item in the villain's file...Under no circumstances should an agent make visual contact with this woman's eyes. “Ohh..tooo..late.” She felt herself being sapped of her thoughts, and could no longer control her movements. “She's the one tied up, but now I'm the prisoner...Hellpp..meee.” At that moment the Chameleon's mind went blank.

Lullaby reveled in the heroine's helplessness, and could read the pitiful plea for help just before taking complete control of the woman's mind. “Untie me, please.” Lullaby asked kindly, and then waited patiently for her wrists and ankles to be free. She walked around the gorgeous body with envy in her heart, wishing to look like that.

Even while in a trance, the Chameleon let out an involuntary grunt when the pipe hit the back of her head. “UUNNGGHH!!” Her knees bent, and for a short moment the heroine's shapely figure froze like a store mannequin, until her legs turned to rubber, thus unable to support the rest of the body. In slow motion the Chameleon's head tilted backwards, while her arms dropped limply to her sides, and she dropped to the floor, sprawling out like a puddle of water.

“I'm not sure how you perform that shape shifter routine, so I need something to keep you out for a while.” Searching the area, Lullaby came upon a cabinet containing various knock out drugs and paraphernalia. “That woman was prepared for almost anything.” She commented, and then selected a bottle of chloroform, soaked a dust mask, and then secured it to cover the woman's nose and mouth. “That should keep you out for some time. Now to tie you to that chair.” After her new prisoner was neutralized, Lullaby searched the unconscious and helpless Foundation agent to find a special cell phone.

At that moment back at the lab, Wonder Lady felt her communicator buzz. The text message was from the Chameleon, and read...'Have Lullaby in custody, need to meet at site, situation changing.' Wonder Lady pondered over the message. “What does she mean..the situation changing?”

General Goodall entered the secure room, and gave the Intelligence Director a steely eyed glare. “How serious is it, Budd?” He demanded.

“It's bad General. Someone was able to control one of our drones, causing it to crash.” The Director responded nervously.

“Are you sure it wasn't just an accident?” The tall good looking elderly military man asked.

“It was no accident. Whoever did it had complete control over the drone's movements.” Budd replied. “He was sending us a message. Do as I ask or face the consequences.”

“You have no idea who hacked into the system?” The General continued his questions.

“Well Harry, they didn't just hack into the system...They managed to steal the software controlling the entire system.” The Intelligence Director reluctantly admitted.

The remark stunned the trained military man for a moment. “You mean they have the Mark Seven? But how, and who?” The General flopped down into one of the leather chairs, and bowed his head. “You're telling me that some unknown person or country has control over our entire satellite system.” The General shuddered at the thought.

“We know that the Foundation might have a lead, so we're tracking several of their agents, and have sent some of our best into the area that's under suspicion.” The Director tried to assure the General that all was not lost.

Meanwhile, Wonder Lady flew to the Foundation safe house, expecting to meet with the Chameleon, but when she entered the building her eyes spotted the fellow agent naked, unconscious, and tied to a chair. “Chameleon..wha?” Her question went unfinished and the Super Heroine never heard a reply as something rammed against the back of her skull. “UUNNGGHH!!!” Her head flew back as her long shapely legs buckled, sending the stunned Heroine to her knees. “UUHHNNNN!!” Groaning with pain, Wonder Lady's  mind filled with flashes of light, and she grabbed the sides of her aching head. There was another dull thud, signaling yet another wicked blow to the back of the strickened Heroine's skull. She never felt it as her body slowly slumped to the hard wood floor. Then silence.

Lullaby decided to use the Heroine's communicator one more time, and sent a text message to Wonder Lass. “Need your help, come to the safe house.”

Wonder Lass and Biddy had escaped from the underground complex, and stole one of the Motel vehicles to head for the cabin that she and her sister had been using while investigating the Motel. There was a buzz from the communicator. She quickly read the short message and said to Biddy. “I have to help my sister. You go to the cabin and wait for us.” The Heroine stopped the car, and then soared into the air.

“No wonder nobody believes me. I don't believe it.” The young blond P.I. Shook her head and then drove to the cabin.

Holly Daze was one of the Intelligence operatives responsible for keeping an eye on the Foundation's agents. She had monitored the text messages sent by Lullaby, had tracked the signal's location, and was now on her way there. Somethings going on at that Motel, and these Foundation agents appear to know what it is, so I'd better check on what they're doing.”

It took Wonder Lass less than a minute to reach the safe house, but there was something about that message from her sister to make the Heroine suspicious, so when she landed her first instinct was to peer into one of the windows. She spotted the naked Chameleon tied to a chair, and Wonder Lady lying unconscious and hog-tied on the floor. “What's going on here?” Suddenly she  heard a noise behind her, and turning to see what it was, the Heroine stared directly into the hypnotic eyes of Lullaby. “Ohhh, feeel..soo..strange. C..can't move.” Her whole body seemed paralyzed.

“You will do as I say.” Lullaby's voice seem to echo from somewhere in space. The beautiful raven haired devil produced a damp cloth, pressing it over Wonder Lass's mouth and nose. “Inhale deeply.” She ordered the helpless Heroine.

Wonder Lass felt the need to obey, and although her training and experience as an Amazon Warrior insisted she hold her breath and resist, the Heroine inhaled the sickly sweet pungent fumes. “Getting dizzy...c..can't..staa..awaa.” The beautiful amazon's legs turned to rubber, causing her to slump slowly to the ground, sprawling out like a spreading puddle of water.

It was much later when Agent 000, Holly Daze, drove close to the safe house. “There are three different signals coming from that place.” She said to herself, thinking that the Foundation agents were holding a meeting. Then a tall raven haired woman dressed in black exited the small building, carrying a naked woman bound hand and foot. “That's the one they call the Chameleon.” Holly peered at the small cell phone containing the ID photos of Foundation agents. “What's happened here?” She wondered as the woman in black carried out another captive, and then another. After the three prisoners were placed in the van, Holly saw the vehicle drive away and followed. “This doesn't look good.”

While in the complex under the lake, Colonel Asphixia was getting impatient for Burt to return from disposing of Lullaby's body. “What could be keeping him?”

“When should I report to the General?” Angel asked. “We need someone on the inside of the Organization.” The shapely female insisted as she flipped her long white hair over her bare shoulder.

“The authorities are too slow to respond to my demands, so they need some more prodding.” The colonel ignored his sister's question. “I'll take out one of their communication satellites, and maybe they'll realize I mean business.” He grinned, and then sipped the brandy.

It was morning when the van arrived at the lakeside garage. “Tell the General I can deliver Asphixia to him on a platter, and I have brought presents.” She waited for the response.

Holly watched from a distance as the woman in black was escorted under guard into the large building, and a uniform guard drove the van inside. The door closed. “I've got to get inside.” She said out loud.

“I can show you how.” A female voice replied. “My name is Biddy Birdwell, P.I. You some kinda cop?” The small pretty blond had sneaked up behind the black sedan, and heard agent 000 report the events to somebody over a radio.

Holly looked at the young woman, recognizing her from the briefing photos. “You're the Deputy...Birdwell.” She announced.

“Use to was Deputy Birdwell. Now I;m a P.I. Investigating these Aliens.” Biddy corrected the agent. “Now, you wanna go inside or not?”
