Submissions
Guidelines
The
Wizard’s Lair is accepting art and stories for posting on this free website. We
thank our contributors for their hard work. The submission guidelines below may
change as webmasters change.
General
The
Wizard’s Lair focuses on the adult superheroine genre, so stories and art
submitted to this website should feature superheroines (or at least heroines)
as characters. Within this larger theme just about anything is welcome
(although it is always a good idea to stay away from sensitive subject matter
such as politics and religion).
One
subject not acceptable at The Wizard’s Lair is pedophilia. Art may be
photograph based, hand drawn or painted, or computer generated (CGI) images.
For photograph-based art federal 2257 regulations require that websites posting
sexually explicit images maintain age documentation for models. Therefore, the
Wizard’s Lair does not accept photograph-based art featuring sexual activity,
including genital touching, regardless of the model’s apparent age. Handmade or
CGI images should not feature characters who appear to be children, or who are
said to be children in text associated with the image. If there is any room for
misinterpretation, the webmaster may include a note on the gallery page stating
that all characters featured in the gallery are of adult maturity, or refuse to
post the images in question. Stories should also not include any characters
specifically identified as being under the age of 18 engaged in sexual activity.
Art
Scarlet
is currently responsible for posting art at The Wizard’s Lair. Art for posting
on the website should be emailed to wandamaximoff13@yahoo.com.
Art
will generally be posted in art gallery pages or as art-based stories
(serials). We do not currently have any guest art gallery pages, so only
Henchmen may submit art to The Wizard’s Lair. We do, however, accept new
Henchment who have at least 12 images to get their new gallery page started. We
will also accept serials from new contributors who have at least twelve images
to get their serial started. In both cases, acceptance will be based on the
webmaster’s evaluation of the quality of the art.
The
Wizard’s Lair will accept no more than 18 images (the size of one full gallery
page) from each contributor per update. Images should be submitted in .jpg (jpeg)
format. Images should be no larger than about 1800 pixels wide and should be
saved one category or more less than maximum quality (i.e., 11 or less for
Adobe Photoshop) to reduce file size while maintaining excellent web-based
image quality. Webmasters will check image size and may reduce size and quality
if necessary.
Please
limit the number of images submitted to The Wizard’s Lair that are posted
elsewhere. Also, although we are heartbroken that many art pieces submitted
previously to The Wizard’s Lair have been lost during the pandemic, those
Henchmen able to resubmit their work may wish to high-grade the submissions
from their catalog of older work; we need to keep our server-space footprint to
a reasonable size. Obviously, serials need to be made complete.
Stories
Scarlet
is currently responsible for posting text stories at The Wizard’s Lair. Stories
posting on the website should be emailed to wandamaximoff13@yahoo.com. Stories
will be accepted from new and old contributors alike. In both cases, acceptance
will be based on the webmaster’s evaluation of the quality of the stories.
Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are as important as imagination in making
stories enjoyable to readers.
The
Wizard’s Lair will accept no more than one new story file from each contributor
per update. Stories should be submitted in either Microsoft Word (.docx, .doc)
or web page (.htm, .html) format. Images may be imbedded in the story; if you
are sending the story with images converted from a Word document, remember to
send the files folder created when you converted the Word file to a web page
because that is where the image files are.
Please
limit the number of stories submitted to The Wizard’s Lair that are posted
elsewhere.
