Alice Strikes Again
"Chancellor said that Atom Girl was in this area just before
disappearing.“ Phantom Girl looked at the weathered old
building with most of
its windows boarded up. "This is probably just another dead
end.“ She
thought, not realizing her prediction might come true. „I
need to get out of
this rain.“ Opening the door of her Maseratti, The young
heroine raced through
the the heavy drops, up the broken steps, and onto the porch. "If it's
not
open I'll just kick it in.“ Not aware of a pair of evil eyes
watching her every
move, Phantom Girl tried the doorknob. "Surprise,
surprise...AARRRGGHHH!“
Her hand stuck to the rusty knob, and her body went into an
uncontrollable
spasm. "AAAHHHHELLLP!“ She stood frozen in place, unable to
remove her
feet from the metal plate below the leather soled boots.
"THE...PAINNnnn..c..can't take any more.“ Her head throbbed,
as her long
shapely legs bent at the knees. Suddenly her hand flew away from the
doorknob,
her knees sagged to the floor, and her body slumped the rest of the way
with
her arms coming to rest at her sides.
"Welcome to my home.“ A female voice echoed in the heroine's
ears.
"You must be tired, but you shouldn't lay out here in the
cold.”
"Phantom Girl lay with her head lying sideways, unable to move a
muscle. “I'm paralyzed. Who is
this woman? "Recognizing the
familiar odor that stung her nostrils, the heroine tried to turn her
face the
other way, but couldn't. She couldn't even make a sound of protest,
when the
pad covered her mouth. “Have to hold
my
breath, and pretend to be knocked
out.”
After a few moments, she slowly closed her eyes. “Good, that woman's removing the pad.”
"Nighty night.“ Alice waited, then placed her stun gun on the
heroine's
back, pushed the button, and quickly covered her mouth with the pad
once again.
"AAGGHHHH!!“ Startled by the shock, Phantom Girl' body
jolted, causing the
heroine to suck in a large dose of the chloroform. "Ooohhh..nnnnoooo.“
Her eyes rolled back, and the muscles, which had
been so tense, relaxed. "Whooooo?“
Was the heroine's last thought.
Later, she awoke to the sound of a female humming. "Oohhh..who are
you“
Phantom Girl moved her chin off her ample breasts. "Why have you done
this?“ Trying to turn her head in the direction of the
humming, she was hit in
the back of the head. “Owww, why did you do that?”
"Questions, nothing but questions. You're like those people at the
asylum,
always asking questions. I bet you want to take me back
there.” Alice turned
around to finish cooking the bacon. "I've run out of eggs. The hens out
back haven't been very productive.”
"This is Crazy Alice.“
Phantom
Girl thought. "Maybe Atom Girl ran
into her.“ She could feel her strength slowly
returning. "I'll take this lunatic back to the asylum, and at the same time
find out what happened
to my friend.“
"Bacon's done.“ As Alice put the strips on a plate, She saw
Phantom Girl
out of the corner of her eye break free and bend over to untie her
ankles.
"OH NO YOU DON“T”
Upon hearing the woman make that comment, Phantom Girl raised up just
in time
to see the iron skillet racing towards her. 'WWHHAAM!' It slammed into
her
head, driving the heroine's body against the chair back, and sending
both onto
the floor. “UUNNGGHH!" Stunned, but not out the dazed heroine
climbed to
one knee.
Alice came around the table to swing the skillet once more. However,
Phantom
Girl stopped the blow with her arm. "You're a tough one.“ The
old woman
with the wild gray hair dropped the makeshift weapon, and retreated to
another
room.
Phantom Girl placed her hands on top of the table to pull herself up.
"OH
MY HEAD.“ She was seeing double. "This isn't going to be
easy.“ Looking
around the room to make sure Alice wasn't hiding nearby, Phantom Girl
stumbled
towards the doorway leading to the other room. It appeared to be a
dinning area
with a huge oak table, a tall cabinet with what appeared to be ornate
porcelain
plates. "No Alice." She said to herself, slowly moving towards the
open doorway at the other end. "I'd
better see what's behind that
closed
door first." She gingerly tapped the doorknob, and when
nothing
happened, opened the door. "It's just an empty closet...UUNNFFFFF!"
Suddenly a hand shoved her against the opposite wall, and the door
closed.
"You can't get away, Alice." Phantom Girl set herself to crash
through the flimsy wooden door, when a steel panel slid down from the
ceiling.
"What's this?" A slight hissing sound could be heard in the
background, as smoke began to rise from the floor. "Another trap. This
Alice maybe Crazy, but she's also very clever." Pounding on all four
sides, the heroine couldn't break through any of them.
The old woman watched the struggles going on inside the gas chamber."
Too
bad I no longer shrink heads. You have such a pretty one." First her
victim stopped pounding, then her legs wobbled, causing the woman to
lean back
against one of the walls. "This one puts up a good fight." Alice
smiled, when the woman slowly slid towards the floor under the cloud of
gas.
"Might as well turn off the monitor."
Phantom Girl couldn't see anything through the thick fog. "How long can I last?" She wondered,
as her head tilted, and her numb body slid the rest of the way, resting
on her
shoulder. "This is rediculous.
An old woman keeps defeating
meeeee." Everything went black.
Sometime later Phantom Girl lay tied to an old bed. "Wake up." Alice
prodded the heroine. "Have to prepare you for the final phase." She
stood by the bed with a syringe in her hand.
"Oohhhh..wha..uhhhh." Phantom Girl struggled to focus, but her lids
were so heavy. Once again she seemed to be paralyzed, but it was merely
because
she was bound spread eagle to a bed. "Let me go." Phantom Girl
pleaded. "Did you do the same thing to Atom Girl? Where is she?"
"You never got to the living room, did you? You're friend is on the
mantle." The needle descended to the heroine's arm. "I'm going to
place you next to her, but you'll be in an urn."
"An urn? What does she mean?" Phantom Girl felt the needle puncture
her skin, and then sensed the serum flow through her veins. "What are
you
going to do?"
"This is so you'll feel no pain, when your body enters the oven."
Alice smiled, removing the empty syringe from the woman's arm.
"I..I..I'm..get..geting..sleeeep..ooohhhhh." She felt warm all over,
then felt nothing, even though fully conscious. No longer able to
speak,
Phantom Girl lay there watching Alice move about the bed untying her.
"I'll jump as soon as I'm free" But that wasn't going to happen. Her
vision blurred, she realized she was completely at the mercy of this
crazy
woman. "What's goin...toooo..hap."
The heroine
drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, Alice was adjusting the new porcelain urn on the
mantle, when
there was a knock on the door. "Is that another one so soon....."
The End?
